Abstract :

The theory of Yazdansar, or government based on the relationship of the king to God, has been part of political thought in Iran since ancient times. This view of government stems from religious belief and the simultaneous understanding of state and religion. Therefore, wherever religion plays an effective role in society, this idea will be more common and acceptable. But this idea has been the religious basis for legitimizing political power. The data of this research is library and after categorization, this data has been analyzed and described using qualitative research method. The results of the research indicate that the belief in the relationship between the king and God, in the mythological part of Shahnameh, is true and unquestionable, just like the myth itself. It becomes pale in the heroic part and colorless in the historical part, and gradually, with the spread of political religion and the instrumental use of religion, the religious belief of the government of the "divine shadow" also turns into a political relationship, and kings and those in power use it to deceive the people and dominate them. With the emergence of despotic, domineering, and unjust kings, there is no longer any room left to accept the spiritual connection of the king with God.
