Abstract :
The aim of this research was to identify the factors influencing entrepreneurial strategic renewal based on digital technology in Iran's sports industry. This research is applied in nature, qualitative and exploratory in method, and cross-sectional in terms of the time of execution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 experts, including academics, sports executives, and technology entrepreneurs. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. A combination of purposive and snowball sampling methods was employed in this study. To assess validity, content validity and expert confirmation were used, and for reliability, inter-coder agreement and test-retest methods were applied. The findings revealed that 240 initial codes were extracted from the thematic analysis, which were categorized into 80 unique concepts. These concepts were eventually classified into three main categories: infrastructural factors (2 indicators), financial and economic factors (2 indicators), and socio-cultural factors (4 indicators). These findings assist policymakers and sports managers in focusing on these factors to enhance their strategic renewal processes and lead Iran's sports industry toward greater innovation and competitiveness.
