Abstract :

Qawam al-Din Mohammad Yazdi is one of the poets and writers of the 8^th and 9^th centuries, and some copies of his works have survived. This work contains poems and letters of the poet. Love is the most prominent themes and images of his poems. The fame of several prominent figures in Persian literature for lyrical writing and the focus of research on their sonnets has led to the neglect of other poets in this field. However, the examination of all texts from this point of view has valuable results, such as the creators of novel images and themes, imitators, the influence of political and social situations, and even theological and mystical attitudes in his sonnets. In the present article, Qawamuddin's thoughts and opinions about love have been analyzed in a descriptive-analytical way. His romantic images and themes have been classified and analyzed in three aspects: love, lover and beloved. The results of the analysis of Qawam's ghazals show that he was not satisfied with only one subject and theme about love and almost all aspects of love were reflected in his poems. Therefore, in his poems, it is possible to discuss from the definition of love to its characteristics, the effects and results of falling in love, the appearance and moral characteristics of the beloved, the characteristics of the lover and the opposing dualities in love.
