Antecedents and consequences of entrepreneurial culture in higher education (case study: selected Iraqi universities)

Abstract :
The current research was conducted with the aim of analyzing antecedents and consequences of entrepreneurial culture in Iraqi higher education in two qualitative and quantitative parts. The first part of the research was conducted using qualitative content analysis method. Based on the principle of theoretical saturation, it was done from the number of 20 knowledgeable experts in the field of study using the purposeful sampling method based on the semi-structured interview criteria. Two methods of review by two coders and review by experts who did not participate in the research, returning to the interviewees were used to measure the validity of the data. The research method in descriptive-survey quantitative part and the statistical population included all subject matter experts and specialists in the field of public administration, higher education and entrepreneurship with an estimated number of 1200 people, out of which 290 people were available as a sample size for the company. Were selected in the study. The tool used was a questionnaire created by the researcher, whose content validity was confirmed. The data was analyzed using social science software package and AIMOS. Results of the qualitative section with 190 general categories in form of 158 sub-components and 27 main components and 6 dimensions included cognitive antecedents, emotional antecedents, behavioral antecedents, administrative and organizational antecedents, entrepreneurial culture.
