Identifying and Analyzing the Dimensions and Components of Empowering Female Faculty Members at Islamic Azad University

Abstract :
The main objective of this paper is to identify and analyze the dimensions and components of empowering female faculty members at Islamic Azad University. The research method is applied in its goals and exploratory in terms of data, with a qualitative approach being data-grounded and a quantitative approach being cross-sectional survey-based. For this research, in addition to document studies, thematic analysis using MAXQDA12 software was used. The statistical population included all faculty members at Islamic Azad University in Tehran. After conducting 20 interviews, theoretical saturation was achieved, and for the quantitative section, the population included all female faculty members at these universities. A sample of 327 individuals was selected through stratified sampling from 6 academic domains. Structural equation modeling was used for sample fit in the quantitative section. Results showed that for empowering female faculty members, 6 dimensions, 21 components, and 73 indicators were identified. The structural equation model indicated that the leadership dimension had the highest impact with a coefficient of 0.960, while the organizational culture dimension had the lowest impact at 0.721. To ensure the validity of the tools in the qualitative part of the research and to confirm the accuracy of the findings from the researcher's perspective, valuable opinions from experts and faculty members familiar with this field were utilized. Additionally, participants assisted data analysis and interpretation. The reliability coefficient between the codings conducted was 0.83%, indicating its acceptability.
