Investigating the impact of emotional intelligence dimensions on the emotional work of higher education managers

Abstract :
The general purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence dimensions on the emotional labor of higher education managers. The research method is descriptive-correlation and structural equations type. The statistical population of this research consists of managers of higher education institutions in Kerman. Using Morgan's table, the sample size for this research was determined to be 203 people. Sampling was done by simple random method and the Farsi version of Yin et als standard emotional labor questionnaires and Golman's emotional intelligence questionnaire were used to collect data. and the content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by professors and experts familiar with the subject. The validity rate is 0.73 and the reliability rate is 0.81. After collecting the data, it was analyzed with SmartPLS version 3 statistical software. The results showed that the dimensions of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy and social skills, have a positive and significant effect on the emotional labor of higher education administrators in Kerman.
