Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to identify and determine the differences in cognitive emotion regulation, social competence, and aggression among adolescents with internet addiction and normal adolescents in Tabriz. The purpose of this study is fundamental, in terms of purpose, and in terms of causal-comparative data collection. The target population includes all high school adolescents in Tabriz between the ages of 15 and 18 years. By simple random sampling method, 100 students who scored higher than the mean of the questionnaire (score above 40) as individuals with internet addiction Known and compared with research group using peer group (100 normal students). For gathering information, Flannery et al.'s (1990) social competence scale, Garnefsky's, Craig & Spinhaun's (2002) Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, Young's Internet Addiction Test, and Arnold H. Boss and Perry's Aggression Questionnaire (1992) were used to analyze. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of adolescents with internet addiction and normal adolescents in terms of self-blame, acceptance, rumination, positive re-focus, re-focus on planning, etc.
