Efficient and on-time maintenance plays a crucial role inreducing cost and increasing the market share of an industrial unit. Preventivemaintenance is a broad term that encompasses a set of activitiesaimed at improving the overall reliability and availability of a systembefore machinery breakdown. The previous studies have addressed thescheduling of preventive maintenance. These studies have computed thetime and the type of preventive maintenance by modeling the total costrelated to it. Todays the engineering insurance is an appropriate anddurable protection for reducing the risks related to the industrial machinery. This kind of insurance covers a part of maintenance costs. Previousresearches did not consider the effect of engineering insuranceon maintenance scheduling while it affects the total cost function of maintenance scheduling seriously. Given the above-mentioned remarks, this paper introduces for the first time a new scheduling of preventivemaintenance with considering total cost and total reliability of the systemin which the effect of engineering insurance has been taken intoaccount. Due to the uncertainty in the input parameters, which arevery common in application, the paper proposed the application of robustdesign approaches. To solve this multi objective model, first it hasbeen transformed into a single objective model by using global criterionand the resultant model is solved through genetic algorithm. Theresults show the magnitude effect of engineering insurance on maintenancescheduling. Therefore, neglecting the importance of engineeringinsurance leads to an inefficient scheduling maintenance. Nowadays the new product and its importance are consideredas an essential strategy for staying in business. Though the hi-techindustry has focused on value innovation and improving the qualityof the new product development (NPD) process to drive new productperformance, new product success has not changed dramaticallyover the years. This study presents a novel approach based on structuralequation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy analytical hierarchy processmodel (FAHP) to explore how value innovation and quality of new productprocess affect NPD performance. The survey contained industrial companies which are located in Farsprovince. The sample contains 98 people who were selected by randomcluster sampling. The research was done using descriptive and appliedmethod. Totally, 16 indicators have been collected and were classifiedin 3 groups of value innovation, quality and NPD performance. Resultsdemonstrate that value innovation directly affects NPD performanceand the quality of NPD processes has a nonlinear effect on NPD performance. Manuscript profile

Today, increased level of customer awareness caused themto access to the other suppliers easily and they can get their servicesfrom the competitors with similar or even better quality and same price. Therefore, focusing on customers and preventing them to leave, has beenthe most important strategy for any company. Researches have shownthat retaining former customers is cheaper than attracting new ones. Inthe proposed model in this article we first identified important factorscausing customers in insurance industry, to have a specific behavior byusing a k-means clustering algorithm, and then we tried to predict thefuture behavior of them by a logistic regression. Our model accuracy is98%. Manuscript profile

Current study aims to prioritize four-star hotels through atwo-step procedure: firstly, classifying service quality dimensions (SQDs)based on Importance-Performance Analysis and secondly prioritizinghotels based on classified SQDs analysing the results. To reach that aim,the customers of three 4-star hotels were considered and asked to statethe quality of the service they expected to receive prior to its deliveryas well as their feelings toward it after they received the service. Then,Importance-Performance Analysis was used to classify SQDs. Finally, we exploited TOPSIS and Shannon Entropy to prioritize Hotels. The method taken in this paper, which first categorizes SQDs, israther noble. Findings revealed that among the 12 dimensions of servicequality, Competence, Tangibles and Price are the most crucial factors, and hence should receive more attention in hospitality industry. The resultsof this research may provide insightful hints to the hotel managersabout those aspects of service that form their customers’ perception ofservice quality. The findings can also help the practitioners to assign resources appropriatelyand offer a more competitive service to the customers throughpaying attention to those factors of service which are of critical importancein this industry. Performance appraisal is a process that people can comparetheir perceptions of working with major manufacturers’ perceptions. However, when assessment is done from different sources thatare related with self-assessment, called performance appraisal 360 degree.Given the importance of Performance appraisal by 360 degreefeedback in organizations, a model has been provided for 360 degreeperformance appraisal of firms that digitize documents. The model wasconfirmed 40 experts by questionnaire method, Also reliability of thequestionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach’s Alpha. The model was implementedin a similar firm. By determining of expectations and criteriaof performance evaluation of each sector the other sectors, The final 17different performance evaluation forms were developed that will be completedby its members and customers to performance evaluation of theother employees. The results of data and review it and recommendationswere provided, improve the productivity of the organization. Manuscript profile

The bankruptcy prediction models have long been proposedas a key subject in finance. The present study, therefore, makes aneffort to examine the corporate bankruptcy prediction through employmentof the genetic algorithm model. Furthermore, it attempts to evaluatethe strategies to overcome the drawbacks of ordinary methods forbankruptcy prediction through application of genetic algorithms. Thesample under investigation in this research includes 70 pairs of bankruptand non-bankrupt companies during 2001-2011. Having examined theobtained data from financial statements of the companies under study,5 financial independent variables were identified so as to be used in themodel. The results indicated that employment of genetic algorithm in predicting financial bankruptcy is highly effective, to the extent it managedto correctly predict the financial bankruptcy of companies twoyears before the base year, one year before the base year and the baseyear at accuracies of 96.44, 97.94 and 95.53, respectively. Earned Value Management is a critical project managementmethodology that evaluates project performance from cost andschedule viewpoints. The novel theoretical framework presented in thispaper estimates future performance of project regarding the past relativeinformation. It benefits from fuzzy regression (FR) models in estimationprocess in order to deal with the vagueness and impreciseness ofreal data. Furthermore, fuzzy-based estimation is evaluated using linguisticterms to interpret different possible condition of projects. Theproposed model can greatly assists project managers to assess prospectiveperformance of project and alerts them in taking of necessaryactions. Finally, one illustrative case associated with a constructionproject has been provided to illustrate the applicability of theoreticalmodel in real situations. Manuscript profile
