چکیده مقاله :
ورود بایدن به کاخ سفید موجی از اشتیاق و امید را در اروپا پدید آورده است؛ به گونه‌ای که انتظارات در مورد بهبود و بازسازی روابط ترانس‌آتلانتیک پس از چهار سال تحقیر روابط طرفین توسط ترامپ بالا رفته است. از نظر تاریخی، ایالات متحده و اتحادیه اروپا ارزش‌های مشترکی دارند که مورد تأکید و تقویت دولت بایدن قرار داد. بایدن در تلاش است تا از نزدیک با متحدان و نهادهای بین‌المللی همکاری به عمل آورد. با وجود پیشرفت‌هایی که در روابط فراآتلانتیک در دوران بایدن پدید آمده است؛ امّا بنا بر یک‌سری عوامل و متغیرهای سیستمی و داخلی، روابط دو سوی اقیانوس اطلس با بی-اعتمادی و عدم‌اطمینان همراه است. لذا سؤال اصلی پژوهش این است که روابط آمریکا و اروپا در دوران بایدن چگونه است؟ فرضیه پژوهش این است که اگرچه روابط فراآتلانتیک در دوران ترامپ با چالش‌ها و تنش‌های زیادی همراه بوده است؛ امّا با به قدرت رسیدن بایدن در آمریکا، واشنگتن به دنبال افزایش همکاری‌ها و بهبود روابط در دو سوی اقیانوس اطلس است.

The hypothesis of the research is that although transatlantic relations have been accompanied by many challenges and tensions during the Trump era; But with Biden coming to power in America, Washington is looking to increase cooperation and improve relations on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. As a result, despite the convergence and progress in relations between Washington and Brussels in the era of Biden, there is always a concern that the relations between the parties will face challenges and disruptions under the influence of systemic and internal variables.
