Abstract :
In the present study, we successfully synthesized quinazoline derivatives in excellent yields through multicomponent reactions involving isoquinoline, isothiocyanate and 6-amino-2-(prop-1-en-2-yl)benzofuran-5-carbaldehyde in water at room temperature. The reactions were carried out in water at room temperature using a catalytic amount of Cu/KF/CP@MWCNTs nanocomposites (NCs).Furthermore, the catalytic performance of the green-synthesized Cu/KF/CP@MWCNTs NCs was evaluated in the reduction of organic pollutants, such as 4‑nitrophenol (4‑NP), under mild aqueous conditions. The results demonstrated that the biosynthesized NCs exhibited excellent catalytic efficiency toward the reduction of organic contaminants, achieving rapid conversion within a few seconds. The advantages of this synthetic procedure include short reaction times, high product yields, and the simple separation of both catalyst and products, highlighting its efficiency and environmental compatibility.
