Abstract :

The synthesis of functionalized thiazoles is achieved via a one-pot reaction in water involving dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, benzoylisothiocyanates, primary amines, and trialkyl phosphite. This environmentally benign approach provides high yields, accommodates a broad range of substrates, and proceeds rapidly under mild conditions with a simple experimental procedure.
