This paper presents a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model combined with Bootstrapping to assess performance of one of the Data mining Algorithms. We applied a two-step process for performance productivity analysis of insurance branches within a case study. First, using a DEA model, the study analyzes the productivity of eighteen decision-making units (DMUs). Using a Malmquist index, DEA determines the productivity scores but cannot give details of factors depend on regress and progress productivity. The proposed model presents anew latent variable radial input-oriented technology and simultaneously reduces inputs and undesirable outputs in a single multiple objective linear programming. On the other hand, classification and regression tree allow DMU to extract rules for exploring and discovering meaningful and hidden information from the vast databases. The results provide a set of rules that can be used by policy makers to explore reasons behind the progress and regress produc-tivities of DMUs. Manuscript profile

Banks are one of the most important financial sectors in order to the economic development of each country. Certainly, efficiency scores and ranks of banks are significant and effective aspects towards future planning. Sometimes the performance of banks must be measured in the presence of undesirable and vague factors. For these reasons in the current paper a procedure based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) is introduced for evaluating the efficiency and complete ranking of decision making units (DMUs) where undesirable and fuzzy measures exist. To illustrate, in the presence of undesirable and fuzzy measures, DMUs are evaluated by using a fuzzy expected value approach and DMUs with similar efficiency scores are ranked by using constraints and the Maximal Balance Index based on the optimal shadow prices. Afterwards, the efficiency scores of 25 branches of an Iranian commercial bank are evaluated using the proposed method. Also, a complete ranking of bank branches is presented to discriminate branches. Manuscript profile

In many applications, ranking of decision making units (DMUs) is a problematic technical task procedure to decision makers in data envelopment analysis (DEA), especially when there are extremely efficient DMUs. In such cases, many DEA models may usually get the same efficiency score for different DMUs. Hence, there is a growing interest in ranking techniques yet. The purpose of this paper is ranking extreme efficient DMUs in DEA based on exploiting the leave-one out and minimizing the maximum distance between DMU under evaluation and boundary efficient in input and output directions. The proposed method has been able to overcome the lacks of infeasibility and unboundedness in some DEA ranking methods. Manuscript profile

One of the important decisions which impacts all firms’ activities is the supplier selection problem. Since the 1950s, several works have addressed this problem by treating different aspects and instances. In this paper, a combined multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) technique (EA-PROMETHEE) has been applied to implement a proper decision making. To this aim, after reviewing the theoretical background regarding to supplier selection, the extension analysis (EA) is used to determine the importance of criteria and PROMETHEE for appraisal of suppliers based on the criteria. An empirical example illustrated the proposed approach. Manuscript profile

In the process of milk production, the highest cost relates to animal feed. Based on reports provided by the experts, around seventy percent of dairy livestock costs included feed costs. In order to minimize the total price of livestock feed, according to the limits of feed sources in each region or season, and also the transportation and maintenance costs and ultimately milk price reduction, optimization of the livestock nutrition program is an essential issue. Because of the uncertainty and lack of precision in the optimal food ration done with existing methods based on linear programming, there is a need to use appropriate methods to meet this purpose. Therefore, in this study formulation of completely mixed nutrient diets of dairy cows is done by using a fuzzy linear programming in early lactation. Application of fuzzy optimization method and floating price make it possible to formulate and change the completely mixed diets with adequate safety margins. Therefore, applications of fuzzy methods in feed rations of dairy cattle are recommended to optimize the diets. Obviously, it would be useful to design suitable software, which provides the possibility of using floating prices to set feed rations by the use of fuzzy optimization method. Manuscript profile

This paper processes a combined method, based on VIKOR and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to select the units with most efficiency. We utilize the VIKOR as compromise solution method. This research is a two-stage model designed to fully rank the alternatives, where each alternative has multiple inputs and outputs. The problem involves BELIEF parameters in the solution procedure. First, the alternative evaluation problem is formulated by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and in the second stage; we use the opinion of experts with belief parameter to be applied into a model of group Decision-Making (DM) called the aggregated fuzzy belief decision matrix. . In this method weight of efficiency witch obtained from VIKOR is multiply with weight of CCR model of data envelopment analysis. Finally, to illustrate the proposed method, an illustrative example is provided. Manuscript profile
