This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of acceptance and commitment therapy on belief in a just world, self-compassion, and self-efficacy in cancer patients. This study is a semi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The research population consisted of all cancer patients who referred to Seyed Al Shohada Hospital in Isfahan in 1400. Among these people, 24 Patients were selected as a sample using the convenience sampling method and randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group (each group includes 12 Patients). The experimental group received acceptance and commitment therapy during 10 sessions of 45 minutes. Sutton and Douglas's Belief in the Just World Questionnaire (2005), Neff's Self-Compassion Scale (2003) and Sherer et al's Self-Efficacy Scale (1982) were used to collect data. The resulting data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis. The results showed that acceptance and commitment therapy had an effect on belief in a just world, self-compassion, and feeling of self-efficacy in cancer patients (P<05/0). According to the findings of this research, providing acceptance and commitment therapy to cancer patients can increase their belief in a just world, self-compassion, and self-efficacy.
