This paper derived from a research project entitled study of the relationship between social alienation and social apathy. It was done by stratified random sampling among 366 students of Islamic Azad University (Mashhad Branch). In this regard, the variables of social alienation and social apathy were assessed by a questionnaire and the reliability was 0.84 too. The results showed that the mean score ranges of students' social alienation and their social apathy were about 2.6 and 2.4. So, there was a significant relationship between social alienation and social apathy. Based on Spearman Correlation Coefficient, the ranges of social alienation, powerlessness, anomaly, social isolation, meaningless and cultural hatred were respectively 0.574, 0.493, 0.473, 0.397, 0.324, 0.439. The comparison of means showed that the relative scores of social alienation and apathy among students of Architecture, Art and Engineering Colleges were higher than the others. Multiple regression analysis showed that only 40% of the components of social alienation and social apathy were justified and the remainder related to the other variables. پرونده مقاله

This survey is stratified random sampling among 425 students in Islamic Azad University of Mashhad (north east of Iran) in 2011 the questionnaire has been implemented in the research. The validity of the questionnaire for face validity and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient is used. In this study, social capital indexes like "social participation, social trust and networks of social relationship" with a questionnaire designed by the researchers and "life satisfaction" questionnaire of Diner has been measured. The Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regressions were used in the data analysis. There is a significant relationship between social capital and life satisfaction in the research and social participation, social trust and social network with a significant relationship between life satisfactions has been tested. Multivariate regression analysis shows that social network variables in explaining the effect of changes in life satisfaction have special role. پرونده مقاله
