Act number 1082 of the civil law of Iran states: "From the onset of the marriage contract the wife becomes the owner of the dower sum and can exert any dominance over it." In spite of the fact that more than 76 years have passed since the ratification of the above–mentioned act, it has not yet been institutionalized in our society to acknowledge the wife’s ownership dominance over her dower sum. It has seldom happened that the wife, at the first step of claiming her legal ownership right, has not been faced with the harsh reaction on the part of her husband and the in- laws .It is due to this popular culture as well as some religious and legal injustices that when conflicts arise between the couples, most women forgive all or part of their dower sum to their husbands so that the husband will consent to divorce the wife in return. With regard to the regrettable trend in the unreasonable increase in the amount of the dower sum,the shakiness of moral and religious foundations among the youth, and the unreasonable increase in the country’s divorce statistics, forgiving the dower sum on the part of the wife has become an important social reality , which necessitates the investigation of its legal dimensions, rules, and legal effects. The purpose of this study is to reply the question: "Is Cognitive Behavioral therapy effective on the reduction of anxiety?" For this purpose, from among all the women who had referred to Mehr Professional Clinic of Rasht during 4 months, 30 who got higher scores in anxiety test were selected and divided in two groups of fifteen. The experimental group went under Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for 8 sessions of 90 minutes and the control group did not receive any intervention. After receiving the treatment types, the subjects’ anxiety was studied again and the raw data were analized through descriptive and inferential statistics indexes by using SPSS. The findings showed that Cognitive Behavioral treatment significantly has improved the anxiety in the experimental group in comparison with the control group. According to the findings in the present research it can be concluded that Cognitive Behavioral treatment is effective on the amount of anxiety in infertile women and this method can be used as an effective intervention method in women with high anxiety.   Manuscript profile

The present research has discussed the relationship between aggression and marital satisfaction among married governmental bank employees of Urmia in 1388. The research is of descriptive-correlation type. The statistical population includes all of the employees as well as their spouses who were working in governmental bank in Urmia in 1388. The sampling method was cluster multi-stage random sampling that included 342 persons. The data were collected by using ENRICH marital satisfaction inventory and the Buss and Perry Aggression Scale (BPAS). The data analysis was conducted by spss software and Pearson’s correlation coefficient and gradation regression .The results showed that between aggression and marital satisfaction there is a significant negative correlation. Also, this research showed that between the components of aggression (verbal aggression, physical aggression, anger and hostility) and marital satisfaction there is a significant negative correlation. Gradation regression analysis showed that physical aggression is the most powerful variable to predict husbands' marital satisfaction. Also Anger is important, but the most important variable of prediction among women is physical aggression, anger and hostility. This concludes that aggression can reduce the most important aspect of the relationship between couples, which is marital satisfaction.   Manuscript profile

The social growth of 400 children was evaluated by using stratified  sampling .In order to measure the children’s social growth , Vineland’s social maturily scate was used Scale. The research method was correlative. Mothers’ job was the independent variable and the dependent variable was the social growth of their children. After gathering the data , SPSS11 software was used and descriptive and deductive statistical methods such as mode , average , Spearman rank order correlation were applied .The results showed that there was a significant relation between the work shift the time which mothers spend with their children, and the social growth of their children.   Manuscript profile

The aim of the current study was to compare life satisfaction between the athlete and non-athlete students according to gender. The statistical population consisted of all the students of Islamic Azad University, Shabestar Branch. Among them 55 athletes (30 male & 25 female) and 55 non-athletes (30 male & 25 female) were selected. The athletes were those who had worked continuously under a coach at least during the past year in one field of sports. The data were collected using Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and were analyzed through t-test. The results show that there is a significant difference in life satisfaction between athletes and non-athletes. In other words, athletes have satisfaction with life more than non-athletes. But there was not a significant difference in life satisfaction between men and women.   Manuscript profile

This research was conducted to compare the personality traits (A and B behavior and sensation seeking) in men and women offender drivers. The research method was a causal- comparative. The sample in this study consists of 157 partcipants (100 men and 57 women offending drivers). They were selected by using accessible sampling method. Tthe data were analyzed based on the Chi-Square Test and the multivariate analyses of variance –one way. The results revealed that there was a significant diference between men and women offending drivres in a behavior. Inaddition, the results indicated that there was a significant difference between men and women offending drivers in Sensation Seeking, Adventure Seeking, Experience Seeking, Disinhibition and Boredom Susceptibility; i.e., women offending drivers reported high levels in this regarel. Also the results indicated that personality types played an important role in driving violation.   Manuscript profile

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Satir brief family therapy on couple intimacy. The research procedure was quasi_experimental with pretest_ posttest and control group design. The population of the study was the volunteer couples in Gazvin city. The sample consisted of 16 couples (8 couples in the control group and 8 couples in the experimental group), who were randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. After drop out, 6 couples took part as the experimental and 6 couples as the control group .The experimental group participated in 6 sessions of Satir brief family therapy, while the control group did not receive any treatment. "Walker &Thompson’s, Intimacy Scale"1983 waz used as pretest, posttest and follow up measure. The results of ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) revealed that there is a significant difference between the 2 groups (P<0/05). Therefore, it is suggested that Satir brief family therapy is effective on couple intimacy in the experimental group compared to those in the control group. The findings of this study have shown that Satir brief family therapy can influence couple intimacy. So, this information can be used in therapeutic and clinical interventions. This information can increase the couple intimacy and at least prevent its reduction. Manuscript profile

One of the major challenges of the present era in Iran is the impact of children’s dominance. The purpose of this research is to study the concept of children’s dominance and kinship relationships from the viewpoint of the concepts Holy Imams, sociologists, and psychologists. The research is a survey study of the effect of children’s domince on the family and kinship relations of a sample of 322 families in Shiraz. The data were collected through the use of a questionnaire comprising 45 questions. Eight hypotheses have been derived from the theoretical framework of the research, each of which studies the different dimensions of the subject with two variables. The resulting data are of synthetic type and have been summarized and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research hypotheses have been tested by using spss software, correlation coefficient and variance analysis. The correlation between the dependent and independent variables of each hypothesis in the first seven hypotheses has been proved and the eighth hypothesis has been rejected. The results showed that there is a significant and reverse realationship between the variables of the seven hypotheses.    Manuscript profile
