The sacred script, Torah, signifies the presence of women right after the genesis and creation of men. Jewish women are not allowed to do specific religious services such as tying Tefillin (the headband for prayers) or the Shema Yisrael prayer (emphasis on the unity of God); yet they attend other services like men.  For Jews, the highest level a woman can reach is the motherhood. Being a Jew is inherited from the mother's side; however, the children are called after their fathers. In order to observe woman's post marriage rights, the man has to sign a deed named Ketubah. The man and the woman may separate if there is no agreement between them. Men conduct divorce when they give a Get (divorce document) to the woman. Divorcing an adulteress is an obligation on the other hand. Manuscript profile

Since long ago, there was a thick wall to separate the women`s personality and position in poetry. It is noteworthy to know that in the ancient culture of our territory, there was another firm custom in women` quotation, except imagery, which was the poet`s pen. The tremendous part of our country`s literature included poetical works. The title of this article is too general and there are many related topics about it. According to poets` opinion, there always seems a kind of duality in this matter; that is contradiction between good and bad. This way of thinking is the cornerstone and the foundation of the religious thought that keeps the poets minds busy. To the extent that in some poetical works of great poets like Ferdowsi, splendor and braveness of women like Gordafarid was portrayed, but on the other hand, some exaggerated role of dishonoring against women had been propounded. The excessive view of some poets toward women has been considered in this article. Manuscript profile
