A poly allyl acetoacetate-grafted graphene oxide (GO-GAA) was successfully synthesized through Hummers' method followed by divinyl sulfone modification and allyl acetoacetate polymerizaton. This novel functionalized graphene oxide was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, TEM analyses. Thereafter, the adsorption property of GO-GAA for Cd2+ ion removal from aqueous media was investigated. The effect of several factors such as pH and temperature on the Cd2+ adsorption was also studied. The maximum Cd2+ adsorption by GO-GAA occurs at 20°C, at pH=7. The synthesized nanoadsorbent also showed a good reusability, even after 10 cycles of adsorption-desorption using HNO3 as regenerating agent. Furthermore, applicability of synthesized nanoadsorbent for Cd2+ removal from industrial wastewater and well water samples inoculated with cadmium was investigated and over 82% efficiency was observed. This study was performed for a period of 3 weeks, on the survival of Polychaeta  Perinereis nuntia, at various salinities, temperatures and dissolved oxygen levels, in laboratory condition. Among these factors, salinity had the most significant effecton the survival of P. nuntia. There were one control group and 3 treatments at different salinities, includeing 1/5 (7.1 ppt), 3/5 (21.3 ppt) and 7/5 (49.7 ppt) of sea water salinity. The salinity of the control group was 35.5 ppt. Maximum rate of survival was observed in control group with 70% mortality and the minimum was in 7.1 ppt treatment by full fatality in the first week. There was significant difference in survival rate of various temperature treatments (p<0.05). Minimum and maximum survival rate in temperature treatments were in 44º Ϲ with 33% and 24 º Ϲ with 70%, respectively. Dissolved oxygen concentration was the least effective factor on survival of P. nuntia. The highest survival rate was in 5-6 ppm of dissolved oxygen concentration with 80% survival and the lowest was in 7-8 ppm with 73% survival. Results showed that the maximum survival rate of Perinereis nuntia was in dissolved oxygen treatments and the highest mortality rates were in different concentrations of salinity. Manuscript profile

In this research, application of seasurface temperature, sea surface pressureandprecipitationin theprovince ofMazandaranwasstudied. Meanmonthlyseasurfacetemperaturedatain30-yearperiodwas obtainedfrom NOAA. Thirty-yearaveragemonthlyprecipitationdata was taken frommeteorologicaloffice of Mazandaran provinceforBabolsar, Qharakhyl,Noshahrand Ramsar stations. The correlation betweenseasurfacetemperaturesand rainfallindifferent months inthe provincewas calculated. Ineachmonth, the thirddegreeregressionlinewasusedforstatisticalestimation. In thepresent study it wasshownthat there is negative correlation, with 95 percent confidence interval, betweensea surface temperatureof Caspian Seaagainstprecipitation and standardizedprecipitationindex inthe inMazandaran Province. It can be deducedthat decreasing sea surface temperature at different months of the year decreases precipitationand rising seasurfacetemperature increases rainfall. Sea surface pressure study also showed that increase in SSP increases rainfall and decrease in SSP increases drought in Mazandaran province.    Manuscript profile

This study was performed in 2013 with the aim of increasing productivity in Barbus grypus and Barbus sharpeyi breeding, together with culture ducks in a period of 8 months, from April to December, in Hantoushzadeh culture farm, in Dolati village of Dezfoul city in Khuzestan province. In this study 2 random treatments were designed and every treatment was performed in a pool of 3 hectares. In both treatment and control pools 900 pieces of fish consisting of 450 pieces Barbus grypus and 450 pieces of Barbus sharpeyi (50% Barbus grypus, 50% Barbus sharpeyi) with an average weight of 20.62±8.67 and 21.5±7.77 g. In the treatment pond 1350 ducks of 15 days old of 300±47.56 g were introduced in 3 stages at intervals of beginning of the period and at the second and third months. The average temperature in the treatment and control ponds were 28.68 ± 2.92 °C. The pH in the treatment and control ponds was 8.70±0.68 and 8.61±0.55, respectively. As the weight average of Barbus grypus and Barbus sharpeyiin the treatment pond were 1126.6g and 770g,therefore the average production of the two species, was 506970±255.23g and 346500±486.55g respectively. Considering that in the control pool, the weight averages of Barbus grypus and Barbus sharpeyi were 1050 and 660g respectively, and the production was 472500±138.48g and 297000±172.76g, an increased production is noticed in pond with ducks (treatment pond) (P<0.05). In the treatment pond the initial and final weights of breeding ducks were 300±47.56 and 310±59.38 g, respectively. Considering that the weights of ducks rose to 3100 g, the duck meat production was 4185000 per hectares. In general it can be concluded that integration of fish breeding ponds with duck farming increases fish production and efficiency. There is also an increase in the production of duck meat. Manuscript profile

This study has been performed to measure Nickel and Vanadium in Sillago sihama and Terapon jarbua fish tissues in Qeshm Island. Twenty four samples from each species were randomly selected in October 2015 in the southern area of the island. After samples were biometrically analyzed; muscle tissues, skin and the liver were separated and chemically digested by wet digestion. To measure the amount of heavy metals in the samples, ICP-0ES (model Liberty RL) was used. According to the results, the least amount of Nickel was found in Sillago sihama and Terapon jarbua was in the muscle tissues (643 mg/kg and 582 mg/kg respectively) and the highest amount was in the liver (5513 mg/kg and 2674 mg/kg), the least amount of Vanadium was observed in the muscle tissues (100 mg/kg respectively) and the highest amount was in the liver (752 mg/kg and 411 mg/kg).  On the whole, Nickel and Vanadium levels in the tissues of both species from high to low in liver, skin, and muscle, respectively. Comparing the amount of metals in studied fish tissues suggests that in Sillago sihama and Terapon jarbua , there is no significant difference at 95% confidence level, between the metals in all three tissues (P≥0.05). Even though the average amount of studied metals in Terapon jarbua muscle and skin tissues is more than levels found in Sillago sihama, comparing the tissues of two fish species on the absorption of Nickel and Vanadium depicts no significant difference in the confidence level of 95%. To evaluate the safety of studied fish tissues for consumption, the amount of metals in the tissues compared to WHO standard (Ni: 380mg/kg, Pb: 500mg/kg) indicated no significant differences between the levels found in fish tissues and the recommended WHO standards. Based on the mentioned facts and calculation of the acceptable daily intake according to EPA, consumption of these fish species, regarding the health aspects, is confirmed. Manuscript profile

Content and procedures: Through an analytical study, twelve samples from the sewage water of Mobarake Steel Company taken 1392 have been studied and the level of pollutants in them identified and analyzed. The treatment method and technology used for these samples has also been studied and based on the study a new process with more prevalent technology (BAT) has been recommended. The findings and analyzed using the SPSS software and the pollutant levels compared to the allowed standards. Findings and results: According to the results of the BOD5 testing and the temperature of the twelve comparison, the levels of manganese and phosphate contain the highest amounts of controlled substances, in particular in one third of the samples (4 out of the 12) the level of these two substances was higher than the permitted level. Also the nitrite and iron levels in one fourth of the samples (3 out of 12) were higher than the permitted level. The levels of the BOD, pH and TDS in one sixth of the samples (2 out of 12) were also higher than the permitted level. Given the scarcity of water in Esfahan and the agriculture fields in close vicinity of Esfahan’s Steel Company, the use of the sewage water from the steel industry is unavoidable and considering the number of samples with higher than standard levels of unpermitted substances, the use of the exit sewage water for agricultural purposes with the current standards should not be permitted and it is necessary to upgrade the treatment facilities of this company.
