Abstract    The field of curriculum is one of the most challenging and controversial fields of enquiry. The question of who should make curriculum decisions has been a central issue throughout the history of curriculum development. The first aim of the present article is to get acquainted with the decision-making structure in higher education curriculum design and also to find out whether it is better to centralize or decentralize by searching and reviewing articles from the most famous databases such as irandoc, cilivica, Jahad Daneshgahi database (SID), magiran, noormagz, Google, etc. The author introduces centralized and decentralized systems and examines their advantages and disadvantages in higher education planning and in the history of higher education in Iran and its developments in different periods, levels of decentralization of the curriculum, the position of participation of faculty members and important factors as well as barriers to their participation in the program development process. Finally, while expressing the challenges and solutions of decentralized planning, it has been concluded that complete transfer of decision-making power will not be a good solution to meet the existing needs, but a combination of decentralized and semi-centralized status for higher education in Iran can be very useful and effective. Abstract    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of art education based on the three methods of participatory teaching, rhetoric, and brainstorming on the artistic education of eighth grade students using a quasi-experimental method. The statistical population included all eighth grade students in Ramsar from which 60 individuals were selected by cluster random sampling. Art education based on participatory teaching, rhetoric and brainstorming was performed on students' art education in eight sessions of 90 minutes. The participants answered the artistic training questionnaire with an estimated reliability of 0.08. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance). There was a significant difference between each of the three teaching methods and the components of art education were found to have a separate and different effect. The participatory teaching method with an average of 2.98 has had the greatest impact on art education, and the method of teaching brainstorming with a mean score of 2.95 and the method of teaching rhetoric with a mean score of 2.89 ranked second and third respectively. The findings showed that the field of art production has been dealt with in the existing curriculum of art education in middle school. Nevertheless, the areas of criticism of art, history of art, and aesthetics are not sufficiently taken care of in the current curriculum for middle school art education. Manuscript profile

Abstract    The role of technology and educational software in improving the quality of education and learning as key activities in education has been largely considered. Due to the importance of technology and educational software in learning processes, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of using computer educational software on life skills in preschool children. The method of the present study is causal-comparative and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of this study included preschool students in District five of Tehran in the year 1400. The statistical sample was recruited by non-probability method (available sampling). The individals were organized into two groups: a) those with experience in using computer educational software, and b) those without any experience in using computer educational software. The life skills questionnaire in children was utilized as the data collection instrument. The research data were analyzed using independent t-test by using SPSS version 22. The findings of this study showed that life skills among students with experience of using computer educational software were higher in comparison with students who had no experience of using computer educational software. It can be argued that computer educational software has a significant effect on life skills in preschool children.  The results showed the effectiveness of computer educational software on life skills in preschool children, so schools and preschools can use appropriate educational software programs in order to enhance life skills among children. In the current world where knowledge is constantly being changed and improved, dealing with novel and new concepts in a significant aspect of encountering individuals, thus making leaning skills a vital condition for learners’ success. Developing and enhancing self-navigated learning is a major aim of secondary education because students are expected to reach a level of competence th be able to recognize their own educational needs and strive to provide them and evaluate their own learning even without getting a place in any specific educational system. Also, training of teachers and lerning of students have become severely professionalized in the current era so that teaching methods are required to respond to complexities of teaching-learning needs. Through library studies and studying previous theories it was understood that self-navigated learning, because of its reliance on cognitive processes, facilitates learning, planning, self-assessment, review and generally, metacognitive learning. Therefore, considering advantages of self-navigated learning, careful attention to this kind of learning seems essential. Manuscript profile
