        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of information literacy skills development between students with emphasis on considerations of implementation of information and communication technology in the educational system of the country. Methodology: The research method is citation analysis. The research population includes the available documents (books, research projects, papers, the creditable sites) which is in the field of information and communication technology in the educational system. Findings:  The study has examined the role of information technology in the development of information literacy. In this research, supporting documents of education in the field of information technology has been investigated and then the implementation of information technology in schools, and finally the major obstacles to the implementation of information and communication technology in education system of the country has been considered. Results: Review of the documents, statistics and previous research shows that due to the lack of infrastructure for providing information literacy education in schools, information literacy among Iranian students is not in appropriate position and major work must be done to improve information literacy in the schools.         Purpose: Medical users face some difficulties in formulating a correct search query while they want to quest in an information retrieval system. To solve this problem, PubMed has added some suggested keywords and queries to its own interface. This research studies the efficiency of these suggested keywords and queries among the retrieved sources in PubMed database from the viewpoint of medical users in Bushehr University of Medical Sciences. Methodology: The populations of this study include MSc students, professional medical students, and faculty members who have had an approved proposal. According to the purpose of the study and using a systematic non probability sampling 40 users selected as the sample study. Findings: The results show that 53 percent of suggested keywords and queries in PubMed have a complete relevancy with initial queries of users. Furthermore, there is not a significant difference between the users’ keywords and the suggested keywords in PubMed. Results: Suggested keywords and queries are an appropriate strategy to access relevant sources which can satisfy users’ need. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: this study aims to determine the most valid free e-journals in English for disciplines in Agriculture, Engineering sciences and Art & Architecture in 2013. Methodology: After determination of free e-journals for disciplines in Agriculture, Engineering sciences and Art & Architecture in English  from DOAJ, by using a checklist and a qualitative approach all this  1141 journals were evaluated. Then, internet address of selected 819 journals was Survey in order to determine backlinks (in-links) by "Majestic SEO". Also, the revised web impact factor was calculated. Findings: The findings of this study showed that 71.77 percent of English e-journals are qualified. Backlinks analysis indicates that the core journal of Agriculture is "Nutrition Journal". Core journal in engineering sciences include: "The International Arab Journal of Information Technology"; core journals in Art & Architecture include: "International Journal of Design". Base on revised web impact factor, "EFSA Journal "is top journal in Agriculture; "International Journal of Communications, Network and System Sciences" is top journal in in Engineering; "The Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies" is the best journal in Art & Architecture. Also, the results showed that there is positive correlation between revised web impact factor and in-links. Results: The results of this research can assist researchers and research administrators in universities in order to identify the most valid free e-journals in English for disciplines in Agriculture, Engineering sciences and Art & Architecture.         Purpose: Today, information technologies are widely been used in the academic libraries. Sound understanding of influence of these technologies and various sections may provide much more appropriate policy making. The aim of this study is to recognize the level of modern technologies influence on various sections of government academic libraries of Tehran from the librarians’ viewpoints. Methodology: The research is survey and the statistical population consist the librarians and managers working on various central government academic libraries throughout Tehran city. For gathering the information needed for the  research a combination of documentary and field studies were benefited. The questionnaire consisted 56 questions and the data was analyzed though descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings: The finding indicated that modern information technologies use can help influence positively on different sections such as: acquisition, organization of materials, service organization library relations, inter-library cooperation and relations with clienteles. Results: The results showed that in various sections of central government academic libraries of Tehran, modern information technologies had significant difference. Also, comparison of mean rates of scores indicated that most influence was on organization of resources and the least influence was organizational library relations. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The Purpose of this research was to investigate relationship between management style and knowledge sharing in Tehran libraries. Methodology: This research used survey method. Data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire that was including 3 sections (Knowledge sharing; tendency to knowledge sharing; and Management styles, according to Likert theory). The population of this study is 495 librarians and managers from 7 libraries including; National Library of I.R. of Iran, Library, Document and Information Center of Research and Educational Planning Organization, and centeral libraries of Sharif University of Technology, Tehran University of Medical Siences and Health Services, Tarbiat Modares University, University of Tehran, Science and Research Branch of the Islamic Azad University. Proportional sampling was used to determine the sample size which formulated using Cochran formula. Finally 209 out of 219 questionnaires were returned. Descriptive and analytical methods (ANOVA, and Pearson correlation (were used to answer questions and examine the hypothesis. Findings: Findings indicated that benevolent authoritative style well describes the managerial style of libraries. In other hand, the amount of knowledge sharing in libraries was very low, but librarians will to share knowledge with their colleagues was relatively good. Findings also indicated that there is significant relationship between all indicators of the management style and knowledge sharing in libraries. Results: Librarians and administrators trust each other and feeling of responsibility for achieving the goals of the organization can be seen. Also knowledge and experience between them is distributed and absorbed. It seems to enhance the knowledge sharing among the staff, improving the management style is to need. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The main purpose of this research was to identify the rate of familiarity of Tehran University graduate students from Google Scholar database. Methodology: This research is applied one that has done through analytical survey research method. Researcher made questionnaire is used for data gathering. All of Tehran university graduate students form research community  are included in this study. Sampling method is used to determine the sample group, due to the high number of students. Findings: Findings showed that the majority of students are aware of being free of Google Scholar search engine. However, the majority of graduate students at Tehran University are much less familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of various Google Scholar services. Overall, it was concluded that the level of familiarity of graduate students at Tehran University with Google scholar services was low.         Purpose: the purpose of this study is comparative study quality of life for public librarians in Iran and Malaysia during the years 1385-1390. Methodology: Survey-analytics method has been used. 100 public librarians Malaysia and 100 public librarians Iran has been selected by  Random Sampling. World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL) (summarized form with 26 questions) has been used and sent to librarians in Iran and Malaysia by Email (English version for librarians Malaysia). Questions were summarized to general area quality of life and 24 slight areas that include 6 factors: physically, psychologically, independent levels, social communications, environmental communications and intellectual interests. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics average and standard deviation and analytical statistics, Pearson correlation test and T test by SPSS. Findings: findings showed that the lowest factor quality of life in Iran is  “independent levels” (average 6/35), in Malaysia is “intellectual interests” (average 5/22) and the highest factor quality of life in Iran is “intellectual interests” (average 17/65) and in Malaysia is “psychologically” (average 33/47). Total factors quality of life have high average in Malaysia's librarians except factors "intellectual interests" and "social communications" (average in Malaysia respectively 5/22 and 5/32), (average in Malaysia respectively 17/65 and 8/30). Results: conclusions of this research showed that generally quality of life during the years 1385-1390 in public librarians Malaysia is higher than public librarians Iran. The lowest subsets quality of life in Iran were “feeling of security”, “financing”, “accessing to information” and “social protection”. There were the Lowest correlation between 2 factors “social communications” and “physically” in Iran and Malaysia. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The purpose of this research was to study the status of information literacy among normal and smart school teachers. Methodology: Research type was descriptive survey. The statistical population consisted of 511 teachers of Kashan city, out of which 112 were chosen. The information gathering tools was a questionnaire with 35 items on the base of 5 Likert scales.The questionnaires validity confirmed by the experts. Through Cronbach alpha, coefficient reliability were obtained equal to 0.89.  the data were analyzed in inferential level statistics through Spss 18 version software. Findings: Findings showed the mean of information literacy components are higher than the average. The highest average was related to the item of ability to critically evaluate information which measured 4.23. Results: The results showed that the mean of information literacy among teachers were higher than average thus, all teachers and education practitioners should pay special attention to the factors affecting the improving media and information literacy as a main capability.
