Supplier selection issue is one of the basic problems in all of the industries, especially in the oil industry. In such issues, multiple criteria and sometimes contradictory criteria must be considered. So, these problems are considered as multi-criteria problems. Suppliers can have a huge impact on the performance of companies in different categories like price, quality, and delivery. Experts believe that there is not the best way for evaluating and selection and there are different methods in this field. In this study, first, with investigating other studies and interviews with experts and the basic criteria for supplier selection were identified and prioritized with Analytic Hierarchy Process. In the next step, according to the criteria and alternatives (suppliers), a hierarchical analysis model prepared and alternatives were also prioritized. In order to determine economic order quantity for one of the main needed parts, a hybrid goal programming and analytic hierarchy process have presented and by using real data, model run and the optimum order for the part was determined for each supplier. In the knowledge-based age, knowledge is regarded as a competitive advantage which should be managed in a proper manner for an accurate use. The first step to implement a system is to identify the key factors. During designation and implementation of knowledge management, a series of factors exist which play a more vital role and they lead to facilitation and acceleration of the implementation process of the system by focusing on the main axes. This research is conducted in order to identify and prioritize the critical success factors (CSFs) of knowledge management. The statistical population consisted of managers and experts of Tabriz Oil Refinery which is equal to 30 persons. As the statistical population number is limited, there is no need for sampling and the whole population was surveyed. For data collection, two questionnaires were employed, the reliability and validity of questionnaires were assessed by experts’ reviews, opinions, and Cronbach test. For identifying the factors effective on the success of knowledge management T-test was performed. According to the findings and results, four critical success factors were identified, including management practices, organization efforts and development, information technology and supply and adoption rate. With regard to the simple Additive Weighting Method (SAW), the ranking of afore-mentioned factors are as follows:  management practices, organizational efforts, supply, and adoption rate and IT. And with regard to the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP), the ranking of these factors are as follows: management practices, organizational efforts, IT and supply, and adoption rate. In addition to the importance of knowledge management, we can refer to the identification of gaps in organization's knowledge, higher productivity of human capital; provide more value-added goods, the satisfaction of customers and employees, strengthening competitive position. Due to the importance of ranking bank branches and the lack of a comprehensive ranking model, which can lead to improved performance of the bank and the country economic growth, offering a hybrid multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) model for ranking among bank branches is necessary. However, with the passing of time, MCDM methods have helped a lot in the rankings. But the choice of which methods is accepted as the best solution is always an ambiguity. Since the comprehensive hybrid algorithm that can identify the top branches not provided, yet. This research is trying to achieve the final ranking of the branches. Thus the optimal solution is to introduce a hybrid algorithm that determines the optimal weights of the MADM methods by a linear model. This approach is especially applicable when we cannot prefer any ranking method to others. Thus, in this paper, the criteria weights are obtained using DEMATEL and ANP methods. Afterward, the bank branches are ranked using TOPSIS, VIKOR, PROMETHEE II, SAW, WPM and DEA methods, each of which is important and significant. Finally, using proposed hybrid algorithm the optimal weights of different methods and the ranks are calculated. Manuscript profile

The aim of this paper is to develop a model to predict the profitability of pharmaceutical companies using the artificial neural network. The research method was descriptive-modeling and statistical population included all active pharmaceutical companies of the Stock Exchange including 21 companies. Due to the limited population, no sampling was performed and the whole community was surveyed. The documents of pharmaceutical companies were used to data collection and artificial neural networks were used for data analysis. The results showed that the best model to predict the profitability of pharmaceutical companies is obtained by considering the variables of working capital to total assets, cumulative profit (loss) to total assets, earnings before interest and taxes to total assets, the market value of equity to the book value of debts, sales to total assets and liquidity. One of the most famous optimization problems in the field of financial engineering is portfolio selection problem. In its simplest form, while trying to minimize risk in the portfolio selection according to defined constraints such as budget and integer constraints it deals with selecting a basket of various assets. Generally, investors prefer to invest in some assets rather than investing in only one asset to reduce unsystematic risk by diversifying their investment. Complex computational models have been developed to solve this problem and there is not an optimal solution for many of them. In this paper, a new and innovative approach known as fruit fly optimization algorithm (FOA) is used for multi-objective problem solving based on mean-variance Markowitz problem with class and cardinality constraints. Fruit fly optimization algorithm is a new way to find the overall optimal solution based on the behavior of the fruit fly in finding food. So far, few studies have been done on this algorithm and almost none of them used this algorithm for portfolio optimization problem. The results indicated the better comparative performance of the algorithm compared to the genetic algorithm for data set of Tehran stock exchange.JEL classification: G1, P5, O3 Manuscript profile

Planning is currently considered as an important element for the whole personal, societal and organizational affairs, whereby every activity would be performed effectively. Scheduling is of high significance in operations research. Recently, scholars have drawn much attention to the application of mathematical modeling as an optimization approach in solving the complex scheduling problems. However, only a few have addressed the open-shop scheduling problem. This study was intended to investigate the effectiveness of meta-heuristic genetic algorithm in order to minimize non-decreasing separable objective functions for such problem. In this genetic algorithm, displacement mutation and partially matched crossover were adopted as two operators. Moreover, the obtained solutions were compared based on how to select the best chromosome by using methods of tournament selection, rank selection, and roulette wheel selection. The data were collected through literature review. It was exhibited that meta-heuristic genetic algorithm can rapidly find the optimal solution. Furthermore, rank selection resulted in more optimal solutions instead of the other two.    Manuscript profile

Production Programming and Inventory Control are known as most important topics in manufacturing companies subordinated the uncertainty and risk. This uncertainty increases the system costs while economic order quantity (EOQ) gives direct benefit to the organization. In this research, a new inventory control model will be devised due to the volume discount and under fuzzy approach. To calculate the optimal parameters, we used pre-solving de-fuzzification for all entrance parameters and pro-solving de-fuzzification for all output parameters based on torques method in parameters certainty. Meanwhile, converting de-fuzzification models to classical models and replacing de-fuzzy digits finally led to calculate the suggestive parameters. To better illustrate the model sensitivity, we used a case study. The result showed this heuristic approach would analytically examine the model and determine optimal parameters quantity for each level and each optimal level could be selected depends on the organization policies.  Manuscript profile
