The Isfahan water treatment plant, with a final capacity of 12.5 cubic meters per second, is one of the largest water treatment plants in the Middle East. It has 10 sedimentation basins with a retention time ranging from 1.91 to 2.75 hours; each basin has a volume of 9172 cubic meters and a surface load of 14.2 to 2.85 cubic meters per square meter per hour. This research was conducted to investigate the efficiency of the combined use of accelerator sedimentation basins equipped with tube settlers on a full and field scale. The goal was to achieve greater efficiency in improving the quality of output water and managing the reduction of water wastage, backwashing time wastage, as well as reducing the need for repairs and maintenance of treatment plant equipment. In this study, the accelerator sedimentation ponds related to two stream 1 clarifiers from the first phase of the treatment plant were equipped with rapid tubular settlers made of food-grade polypropylene. These settlers are hexagonal in shape with a hydraulic diameter of 50 to 80 mm; placed at a 60-degree angle to the surface, and have a length of 90 cm. Stream 2 was operated without the simultaneous use of rapid tube settlers in the circuit. The amount of backwashing’s of filters, the number of times the aerators and backwashing pumps are engaged in the circuit, the amount of water wastage, and the time required for each wash in streams 1 and 2 were compared with each other. The results of this study showed that the number of times of reverse washing of filters was reduced by an average of 25% compared to stream 2. This action also reduced the amount of water used for backwashing the filters and consequently reduced the number of working hours of the electrical and mechanical equipment of the water treatment plant. Background and objective: Baggass of sugarcane and wheat straw are the most available material for composting in Khuzestan province. Baggass has the self-inflammable property. This baggass property is a source of environmental pollution. It is important that a method is introduced to proper baggass compost as fast as possible in order to make it to a usefull and safe production. Therefore, this study was conducted to compare the quality of compost from two types of plant residues bagasse and wheat and their consumption and also to minimize the time period of compost preparation using different methods. Material and Methodology: for this purpose, a trail was carried out in a factorial CRB design at three replications during two years in Shavoor (Khuzestan) Agricultural Research Station. In this experiment, preparing duration and compost quality were investigated in two kinds (wheat straw and baggass of sugarcane) and two amounts (20 and 40%) of raw materials and the three preparing methods (Traditional, Rapid, and Bio-enriched). Findings: Results showed that the bio-enriched method was the fastest method to propering in comparison with the others (2 months vs. 4 months). And the best composition also is 40% baggass, 50% filtercack of sugarcane and 10% cow manure. Discussion and Conclusion: Therefore, it is recommended to use wheat straw or sugarcane bagasse to prepare compost and the enriched method, ie using Trichoderma and Azotobacter bacteria. It is better to use a combination of 40% straw or bagasse, 40% sugarcane filter cake, less than 20% cow manure and the rest of sheep manure or poultry manure. Conversion of sugarcane bagasse prevents the self-igniting dangers of this substance in the depot and as a result of the resulting environmental pollution.   Manuscript profile

Background and Objective: Technology fast growth, attaining to production new processes, replacement artificial materials with natural fiber and thousands synthesis of materials kind and chemical compounds, lead to increasing much amount of industrial wastes and in some cases it  has leaded  to producing dangerous solid and liquid residue. Accordingly, the aim of this research is identification and classification of residues and consumer chemical identification and classification of residues and consumer chemical materials in Maroon Petrochemical Company Olefin Unit. Material and Methodology:  Method in this research includes library studies and field observations from Olefin Unit and finally residues classification was based on Basel Convention. Findings: Studies showed that unit has 18 non-dangerous and 9 dangerous residues all those have identified on solid, semi solid, and liquid phase. The most non- dangerous residue belongs to wastage flea with 60 tons and the least was cloth element with 0.144 in year. Also, the most dangerous residue belongs to heavy oil with 144 tons and the least was petroleum with 1 ton in year. Discussion and Conclusion: Therefore, by 1.900.000 tons in year of consumer raw materials for producing of product in Olefin Unit, there was 323.9 tons of dangerous residue production in year. It is suggested that the performance of the olefin unit should be controlled according to the designed conditions and the catalysts and absorbents in the unit should be replaced with better types with a longer useful life. Water is one pf the animators in the world. Encouraging thinking about life style in interaction with the environment is the most complete advice from Quran's view point for humanity and is the best way to overcome the exising crisis especially in the field of water. Quran has various mentions on water in which delicace points could be found out. The aim of the present paper is to compile quranic solutions in order to change human behavior in his life style in interaction with the environment. The results show that Islam owns ethic and scientific principles such as saving, considering others' rights, wastage and etc. the present article attempts to study the life style in interaction with water based on Quran learnings. The information technology often have delays since they have been established in the organizations, and reduce the prioritization and decision making methods, also it is a barrier to the best benefits of productivity in this domain. On the other hand, the lean philosophy is a useful attitude to minimize the loss and maximize the productivity of facilities, human resources and investment. Using the lean theory in information technology systems, the wastage will be deceased and productivity will be promoted. This study investigated the role of the effective factors in being lean on IT productivity in banking domain. The research method was descriptive-survey. The statistical population included the experts in banking domain in Iranian banking industry which included 260 people, out of which 156 people were chosen as the sample size, using Morgan’s table. Using confirmatory factor analysis, the results showed that the factors had a positive effect on promoting the trend of being lean. The most effective factors were the proper designing of information processes of IT. Manuscript profile

Iranians population formatted one percent of world's population but they use 2.5 percent of world's wheat. One of the most important reasons for lacking of wheat in Iran is wheat wastage from production to consumption. The aim of this research is to estimate the amount of bread and flour wastage in Mashad’s bakeries. To stratify the bakeries according to the other research classification method was selected. Bakeries were divided in to three main categories of their products consist of traditional, bulky and mechanized breads. According to 1613 bakeries in Mashed, 54 bakeries were selected that divided in to 3 groups, 10 bakeries from group 1, 9 bakeries from group 2 and 35 bakeries from group 3. Questionnaires were completed by face to face interview. The result shows that the bread and flour wastage in traditional, bulky and mechanized were 2.6, 2.5, and 3.7 Kg/day. According to the statistic 0.46 percent of incoming flour was waste in the form of bread and flour in the bakeries. The result shows that bread and flour wastage in bulky bread were lower than traditional and mechanized bakeries. But customer satisfaction was lower than the others. It is recommended that to do more researches about bulky bread and decrease in price of them and programming to acquainted bakeries to the real price of flour and farmers troubles. Manuscript profile
