        The aim of this study was investigate the relationship between of core self-evaluations with job satisfaction considering mediating role of work-family conflict and work-family facilitation. Statistical society was employees of an industrial company so that sample was selected from 200 persons of them stratified random method. The instruments which used in this research were core self-evaluations, work-family conflict, work-family facilitation and job satisfaction questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient, structure equation modeling (SEM) and mediation analysis. The results showed that the proposed model fit the data properly. Also all direct and indirect effects were significant. In fact, core self-evaluations directly and indirectly are lead to job satisfaction. These findings may provide insight into the underlying mechanism or process causing work- family conflict or facilitation. Manuscript profile

        this study aimed to examine the mediating effects of core self-evaluations in the relationship between job stressors (interpersonal conflict at work, organizational constraints, quantitative workload) and job strains, as well as affective well being. Based on a correlation design, 228 (45 males, 183 females) Islamic Azad University employees completed the measures of the Job Stressors (Spector & Jex, 1998) consisted of the Interpersonal Conflict at Work Scale, the Organizational Constraints Scale, Quantitative Workload Inventory and Physical Symptoms Inventory, as well as the Job Related Affective Well-Being Scale (Van Katwyk et al, 2000), and the Core Self-Evaluations Scales consisted of the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (1965), Generalized SelfEfficacy Scale (GSES; Judge et al.,1998), the Neuroticism Scale of Eysenck Personality Inventory (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1968) and the Internality, Powerful Others and Chance Scale (IPC; Levenson, 1981). The results of path analysis indicated that interpersonal conflict and organizational constraints influenced the job strains positively and organizational constraints influenced the affective well-being negatively. Furthermore, core self-evaluations mediated the relationship between job stressors and Job strains, as well as affective well-being significantly. It can be concluded that the appraisal of job stressors and its consequences are influenced by core self-evaluations.     Manuscript profile

        This study investigated reliability, validity and confirmatory factor structure of the Core Self-Evaluations Scale (CSES; Judge, Erez, Bono & Thoresen, 2003). Six hundred and twenty two students (198 males, 424 females) were selected using multi-stage sampling method. The participants  completed the CSES, the Personal Views Survey (PVS; Hardiness Institute, 1985), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (1965), the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES; Judge, Locke, Durham & Kluger,1998), the Internality, Powerful Others and Chance Scale (IPC; Levenson,1981), the Youth Coping Index (YCI; McCubbin, Thompson & Elver, 1996), the Neuroticism Scale of  the Eysenck Personality Inventory (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1968),the Beck Depression Inventory-Short Form (BDI-SF; Beck & Beck, 1972). The factor structure of theCSESwas assessed by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis.The results indicated that the CSES had a good internal consistency. The Cronbach α and 2-weeks test-retest reliability were .87 and .82, respectively. The positive correlation of the CSES with the Personal Views Survey, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale, the Internality, Powerful Others and Chance Scale, and the Youth Coping Index indicated the convergent validity of the CSES. The negative correlation of the CSES with the Neuroticism Scale and the Beck Depression Inventory indicated the divergent validity of the CSES. The factorial analyses indicated that the CSES Scale was unidimensional.The findings suggest that the Core Self-Evaluations Scale has a good psychometric properties in a sample of Iranian Students.
