The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive role of components of Affective and Emotional Composite Temperament model in relation to anger control and positive attitudes toward delinquency in secondary high school students. This study was descriptive and its statistical population was all secondary high school students of Ardabil city that selected 221 students using multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data was collected with Affective and Emotional Temperament questionnaire (Lara et al, 2012), Questionnaire of Delinquency (Fazli, 2010) and the Dimensions of Anger questionnaire (Sigel, 1986). Stepwise Regression was used to analyze data. The results of data analysis showed that components of emotional temperament about 47% and components of affective temperament were able to explain and predict about 43% of changes related to positive attitudes toward delinquency (P< . /05). Also components of emotional temperament about 19%, and components of affective temperament, were able to explain and predict about 13% of changes related to anger control (P< . /05). The results of the this study provide important implications for the use of the AFECT model to aim of identifying groups at risk for violence and delinquent behavior and can be used to design preventive interventions for Aggression and delinquency. It is assumed that the dimensions of temperament and the disgusting sensitivity in interacting with each other lead to generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Despite the importance of this model, not enough research has been done to evaluate it empirically. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of temperament dimensions on generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder mediated by sensitivity-disgust in Urmia University students. The present research design is descriptive of correlation type. For this purpose, 377 students of Urmia University were selected using cluster sampling. Participants filled Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI-125, 1994), Disgust Sensitivity Scale (DSS, 1994), Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire (GADQ-IV, 2006), the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Inventory Revised (OCI-R, 2002), and the Leibowitz Panic Inventory (LPI, 1984) were administered. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling. SPSS and AMOS software were also used to classify, process, analyze the data and test the research hypotheses.Evaluation of the hypothetical model of the research using fitness indicators showed that the hypothetical model fits with the measurement model (CFI = 0.97, NFI = 0.93, RMSEA = 0.065). The results showed that the dimensions of temperament have a significant effect on generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder at the level of P <0.001. And obsessive-compulsive disorder has a significant effect at the level of P <0.001. Findings of the study, along with support for the hypothetical model for generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic disorder, show a good model for the etiology of these disorders and can play a role in disgust. These findings might Help treatment of anxiety disorders and related cognitive-behavioral interventions. Manuscript profile

The aim of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of short version of temperament and character inventory in University student. This descriptive study was a survey type. The statistical population of the study included all undergraduate students of Payame Noor University of Guilan in the academic year 1396-97, that 350 students (217 females and 133 males) were selected by multi-stage clustering sampling. The Temperament and Character Inventory (Adan & et al, 2009) and the NEO-Five Factor Inventory (Costa & McCrae, 1989) was used for collecting the data. The coefficients obtained for the subscales through Cronbach's alpha and test-retest reliability showed the appropriate reliability of this instrument. Convergent validity were examined by correlating with NEO-Five Factor Inventory that results were significant. Also, based on the results of confirmatory factor analysis, The seven factors proposed in the Cloninger's model (innovation, harm avoidance, reward reward, perseverance, perseverance, self-direction, cooperation, self-avoidance) have a good fit. According to the results of this study, it can be concluded that the short version of TCI has a good reliability and validity in Iranian samples and it is suitable for use in research and clinical fields. The present study was conducted to compare various dimensions of temperament, character and aggression in preschool children trained with Waldorf,Montessori, and traditional approaches of education. The statistical population included all preschools in Region 2 of Tehran, administered based on the aforementioned educational approaches. In the first stage, six preschools (two preschools for each approach) were selected. Then, the inventory of maternal care quality was administered among mothers to study mother-child relations and match children in this factor. Finally, only mothers who obtained the highest scores in this inventory were selected. In the second stage, the seven-factor preschool temperament and character inventory, developed by Constantino(2012),and the four-factor preschool children aggression inventory ,developed by Vahedi et al. (2008),were given to the instructors of those children with quality caring mothers. After the instructors completed the inventories and their opinions about these children were collected, data pertaining to 90 children (15 children from each preschool) was analyzed. The multivariate analysis of variance of data suggested higher level of verbal and physical aggression in children trained with traditional approach, as compared to two other approaches, the aggression scores of the children trained with Waldorf and Montessori approaches were not different. In addition, children trained with Waldorf approach obtained higher scores than other two groups in novelty seeking and persistence (as two dimensions of temperament),self-directedness,and cooperativeness (as two dimensions of character). The temperament and character scores of the children trained with Montessori and traditional approaches were not different.Findings suggested the importance of educational environment, secondary to family environment,in the formation of temperamental and behavioral characteristics. The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating role of life management strategies in the relationship between generativity-stagnation with subjective well-being in the middle age period. The research method was correlation and the statistical population of the research consisted of all middle-aged citizens of Kermanshah 200 individuals (127 men and 73 women) were selected by voluntary sampling method and responded to four instruments of subjective well-being (Keyes, Shmotkin & Ryff, 2002), Loyola generativity scale) McAdams & de St Aubin, 1992), stagnation scale (Bradley,1997), life management Strate- gies scale (Baltes et al.,1999). For data analysis, we used path analysis. The results showed that generativity has a direct relationship with life management strategies stagnation has an opposite relationship with life management strategies and life management strat- egies have a direct effect on subjective well-being. Also, the results showed that life management strategies can act as a mediator in the relationship between generativity- stagnation and subjective well-being. As a result, considering the importance of subjective well-being in the middle-aged, psychologists can take a step towards increasing the quality of this period by relying on the two variables of generativist- stagnation, and life management strategies and trying to improve and modify them in the middle-aged and performing interventions and treatments in the society. This study examined the mediating and moderating role of child temperament in the relationship between marital conflict and the child's affective-behaviorals symptoms, physical and psychosocial health. 220 female and 193 male elementary school students (fifth grade) were selected using stratified random sampling. Their mother were administered the O'Leary-Porter Overt Hostitility Scale (Porter & O'Leary, 1980), the Early Adolescent Temperament Questionnaire-Revised (Putnam, Ellis & Rothbart, 2001), and the Child Health Questionnaire-Parent Form (Landgraf & Abetz, 1996). In addition, mothers and teachers of the students completed the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (Goodman, 1997). Regression analysis of data indicated that marital conflict and child temperment were predictors of child psychopathological symptoms and health. Marital conflict was positively correlated with negative temperament, and negatively correlated with positive temperament. The moderating role of child's positive temperaament and effortful control in marital conflict and child health was posited, as well as the mediating effect of child temperament in the relation between marital confict and child behavioral symptoms. The implications based on the research findings are discussed.      Manuscript profile

Introduction: The aim of the research was to investigate the mediation of mother-child relationship in the relationship between mother's mood and attachment with behavioral problems of children aged 6 to 12 years.Method: The study was conducted by correlation method and available sampling. From the community of 1000 children participating in the summer activities of the centers of Rajaeeshahr region of Karaj, 300 mothers of children with an average age of 9.5 years to the mother-child relationship evaluation tools of Ross (1961); Collins and Reid's (1990) attachment; Stress, anxiety and depression 21 questions (1998); and Rutter's (1964) behavioral problems answered. After discarding 86 questionnaires, the data of 214 questionnaires were analyzed by path analysis method using Lisrel software. Findings: The results showed that the two variables of mother's mood and attachment have a direct effect on the child, respectively (β=0.18 and β=0.35 with P=0.001) and a direct effect on the child's behavioral problems. It is equal in both paths (β=0.39, P=0.001). This is despite the fact that the mediator variable, mother-child relationship, has no significant effect on children's behavioral problems (β=0.12, P=0.001). In addition, the two mentioned variables were able to explain 55% of children's behavioral problems at the level of 0.05.Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, it can be concluded that among the effective factors in interventions to reduce behavioral problems, in addition to parenting skills, is the intervention to improve the mother's mood and attachment problems. Depression is a common and growing disorder and various factors has been proposed in the etiology of it, one of which is personality traits. The aim of the present study is to determine mediating role of cognitive emotional regulation in relationship between dimensions of temperament and character and depression. For this purpose, through a descriptive-correlational study, 205 students were selected via voluntary sampling method and evaluated in terms of dimensions of temperament and character, depression level, and employing cognitive emotional regulation strategies. The correlation results indicated a significant positive relationship between temperament and character dimensions and cognitive emotional regulation with depression. Also, path analysis showed that dimensions of temperament and character impact depression indirectly through cognitive emotional regulation. Thus, based on current research findings, it can be concluded that emotional regulation strategies have a mediating role in relationship between temperament and character dimensions and depression. Personality dimensions impact depression through certain mechanisms. Considering these dimensions and the effectiveness of the employed mechanisms can be useful in developing efficacious preventive and therapeutic interventions for depression. Manuscript profile

Borderline and antisocial personality disorder is a common and chronic disease that disrupts all aspects of life. Therefore, the present study aimed to compare the affective and emotional temperament among patients with borderline and antisocial personality disorder and normal individuals. The study method is descriptive and causal-comparative. The statistical population consisted of all patients with antisocial and borderline personality disorder in Ardabil central prison and Isar and Fatemi psychiatric hospital in 2018. The sample included 50 patients diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder and 50 patients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, as well as 50 normal individuals. All subjects were selected based on availability. The data were collected by structured clinical interview for personality disorders and Lara et al.’s affective and emotional composite temperament questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance and LSD test. The results showed that there were significant differences among the three groups of antisocial and borderline personality disorders and normal individuals in different dimensions of affective and emotional temperament (p<0.01). It seems that individuals with antisocial and borderline personality disorder are different emotionally and affectively. It is suggested that using the results of the present study and with the differential diagnosis of borderline and antisocial personality disorder can be provided an appropriate and comprehensive treatment plan by psychologists and psychiatrists to improve these individuals. The aim of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of personality traits in the relationship between brain-behavioral systems and internet addiction in college students. The current research was descriptive and correlational. The current research population was all students studying in the non-profit Ashrafi University of Isfahani in 1401. Among the students of these universities, 346 students, based on the available sampling, completed the information required by Gary Wilson's personality questionnaire (1989), Cloninger's temperament and personality questionnaire (1994) and Young's Internet addiction questionnaire (1998). Statistical analysis was done using structural equation modeling. The findings showed that persistence and novelty seeking have a positive effect and harm avoidance has a negative effect on Internet addiction. The relationship between reward dependency and Internet addiction was not significant. The direct effect of behavioral inhibition systems with Internet addiction is 0.371 and the direct effect of behavioral activation systems with Internet addiction is -0.382 and both are significant at the 0.01% level. Also, the indirect effect of behavioral inhibition and behavioral activator systems through personality dimensions of nature was significant. The indirect relationship of behavioral activation on Internet addiction was -0.146 and the indirect relationship of behavioral inhibition on Internet addiction was +0.137. Among the personality dimensions of temprament, the partial mediating role of persistence was confirmed. Manuscript profile
