        The aim of this research was to find the effect of formation items of hidden curriculum on the University-related affect in the students of Semnan Payam-e-Noor University. The research method was case study and mixed. Purposeful sampling was used to select Semnan University. Three different instruments were utilized to obtain the data: 1) The affect of University-related questionnaire 2) Observation checklist 3) The standardized open-ended interview and informal conversational. Several statistical procedures including repeated measures analysis, Scheffe's method and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The obtained multiple regression analysis result for hidden curriculum, and the affect of university-related was 0.621 which wasn't meaningful at%5 level of significance. Coefficient of determination was 0.385. Thus distinguished that%38.5 of the affect of University-related has been influenced by hidden curriculum. Manuscript profile

        The main purpose of the present study is to determine the effective factors on distance education technology acceptance among PhD candidates in Higher Education center, Payam-E-Noor University, Iran. This was a descriptive and survey-based study. The sample population of the study consists of 248 PhD candidates out of the statistical society of 1384 students who were selected, using Morgan table, through simple random selection, and answered the questionnaire made by 30 distance education experts. Distance education experts’ viewpoints and Cronbach Alpha (0.84) were used to determine, respectively validity and reliability of data collecting tool. The collected data was analyzed with SPSS and LISREL, using descriptive and inferential statistics techniques. The results indicated that factors had the most influential effect on the technology acceptance, respectively: technological self-sufficiency, technological mastery, usefulness, accessibility and comprehensive supports. Using factor analysis method, the results also showed that the fitness indexes (CFI=0.97), (RMSEA=0.067), (ACFI=0.98) and (NFI=0/98) were appropriate. In other words, these indexes can be used as effective factors in distance education acceptance in Payam-E-Noor University in Iran.   Manuscript profile

        The aim of this research was to make a valid and reliable questionnaire for assessing the information literacy of distance learners. The statistical population of it included all students that enrolled in all branches of Payam-e-Noor University of Hamedan province. The total number of those was 28530 people. For sampling of subjects, a cluster sampling method was used. On the basis of this method, 387 subjects were selected based on Kerejsi and Morgan table. To gather data, a research-made questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was made based on the Likert scale (very high, high, moderate, low, and very low). The components of the instrument (questionnaire) included 5 standard competency of ACRL. The questionnaire is composed of 30 items in the form of self-report statements. To make the items suitable, discriminative power method was used, and to validate the items, content, formal and construct validity (convergent validity and factor analysis) were used. Based on the convergent validity, the correlation coefficient between this questionnaire and Asghrnia’s Questionnaire (2009) was 0/77. Also, results of explanatory factor analysis on the items of questionnaire led to extraction of 6 factors with a total cumulative variance explained nearly 66%. For making items reliable, the Cronbach’s alpha was used (a=0/94). Results show that the research-made scale (information literacy questionnaire) is a suitable and a reliable instrument for assessing the information literacy of distance learners. Moreover, other results of the research shows that there are a significant and positive correlation between learners’ level of information literacy skills and their age. Manuscript profile

        Purpose: The present paper attempts to study and evaluate the real and basic information literacy of Payam-e-Noor University students in relation to their average and the rate of access to computer. Methodology: The method of this study is descriptive survey. The population of this study was 300 students of Esfahan, Shahreza, and Semiroum Payam-e-Noor universities. The method of sampling was cluster sampling. Research tool is the questionnaire designed by Davarpanah and Siyamak. To analyze data, descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation and SPSS software were used. Findings: The total grade of a student with the information literacy was 87 and the point of 50% was 43.5. The total grade of the studied samples in the information literacy skills was 20.10 and the point of standard deviation was 5.62. The lowest average grade related to fifth standard was 3.49. Also, there was a meaningful relation between the first and the second standards, as well as the accessibility of students to the computer but there was no meaningful relation between the accessibility to computer with the other standards.  Conclusion: The real level of students’ information literacy was lower than the half of questionnaire grades. The academic education and attendance in the university has not effect on the raise of students’ information literacy level.   Manuscript profile

        Abstract This study evaluates the effects of information and communication technology (ICT) on creativity and entrepreneurship among Payam-e-Noor students.  In this causal-comparative study, the population included all undergraduate students of Payam-eNoorUniversity of West Azerbaijan province in the academic year of 2009-2010 who were selected through stratified random sampling method (543 females and 362 males). Research tools included the entrepreneurship questionnaire and creativity questionnaire. Data were analyzed at two levels of descriptive (mean, median, standard deviation ...) and inferential (ANOVA multivariate). The results of ANOVA showed significant effect of ICT in general (simultaneously) and separately for men and women on creativity and entrepreneurship at the level of 0.01. Given the findings from analysis of data, the effect of ICT on creativity and entrepreneurship of students was confirmed. Manuscript profile
