The study of the history of the mirror in Iranian literature, culture and mysticism has a long background. What is considered in this research is the position and function of the mirror as one of the mystical codes for expressing inner secrets and reaching from the minimum to the total truth; in the sense that the mirror can connect us to the absolute truth which is the eternal essence of oneness. The condition for connecting to this truth is to embellish the heart’s mirror from the rust and belongings. The present research intends to apply a descriptive – analytical method while expressing the importance of this polished nasty that has caused emergence of the human mind in different eras, to present the thoughts of poets with the help of this symbol and to promote its efficiency and reflection to contemporary literature. The result is that the attitude of poets in the past and present towards the concept of mirror and its importance has been expressed; With the definition that the mirror is like snow from the point of view of the early mystics, pure heart is like snow, while in the poems of some contemporary poets, has different applications such as sea mirror, mirror judgment, mirror of tears, and so on. Many individual and collective human movements have an archetype in the collective unconscious and lead the individual to a specific goal. One of these thoughts is transcendence or reaching perfection, which is natural. Jung calls this effort or journey into the unconscious, which is transcendental the "process of individuation." This process is considered in the world nations literary works as the flow of archetypes from the darkness of the collective unconscious to the individual unconscious. The main theme of Farrokhzad's story "Behind the Mirror" is perfectionism and transcendence, which is achieved in a symbolic, external and internal process. This article shows analytically that Tuti, does not tolerate the artificial rules, and thus achieves the necessary identity, awareness and independence during the journey. In this journey (process of individuation) or mental journey (in the subconscious), the "hero" has to recognize a number of "archetypes" that appear in the story at different stages of the process with intensity and weakness. In order to achieve wholeness and self-knowledge, the hero removes the false "mask" of his false personality and, by knowing (anima / animus) and its positive and negative aspects, succeeds in discovering its stages. Then, with the guidance of "old wise man" and the struggle against various aspects of "shadow", he passes through the difficult stage of "death and rebirth" and guides the pilgrims of salvation with the wise guide. In his theory of “mirror stage,” Lacan focuses on the fundamental role played by the mirror image in the development of man’s psyche. He refers to the importance of mirror image in the social and linguistic identity of the individuals. From Lacan’s perspective, man’s “gaze” is superior to that of the woman. Man’s “gaze” deals with the woman as the one who is endowed with a more inferior place than that of the former. The other concept considered in this article is the concept of “gaze,” that has an affiliation with Lacan’s theory of “mirror stage”. The author has made an attempt to study the impact of Lacanian “gaze” and “mirror stage” on Farrokhzad’s poem, using analytical-descriptive method. Since Forough’s poems have romantic characteristics and they reflect her own feelings and thoughts, thus this article can provide an important ground for offering better attitude towards Forough’s poems. The main research questions used in this article is how we can establish a relationship between Lacanian “gaze” and “mirror stage” and Forough’s poems. The results indicate that Forough has intended to challenge an identity ascribed to het by society and literary traditional through her poems; she intended to attain her real self. For the purpose, she could make use of mirror as metaphor, and like many other modern poets, present her feminine subjectivity and identity using “mirror image” and “gaze”. Manuscript profile

In identify the causes of Iranian backwardness and finding appropriate solutions to exit of this situation, modernization movements, not only in the theoretical fields but also in literature, attracted the attention of theorists. Meanwhile, there are three views to modernity in literature: one group believes that modernity is a completely Western concept and is inefficient; the second group considers it acceptable due to its Western origin; and the third group maintains a balance between tradition and modernity. Houshang Golshiri, who has extensive knowledge in Persian literature and history, is one of the representatives of the third group. This research seeks to demonstrate how Golshiri, as a modern and at the same time traditional writer, has depicted the integration of modern and traditional storytelling methods without damaging the structure of the story and has given special importance to traditional elements in contemporary literature. The study is conducted using a library method and descriptive analysis to examine the components of tradition and modernity in the novel 'āyene-hāye dar dār' (Lidded Mirrors). The results of the investigations show that the use of narrative in classical texts, pragmatism, the use of short allegorical narrative, and the use of language as a traditional aspect are some of the old narrative methods in Golshiri's stories, and the combination of traditional and modern components together indicates his special attention to the place of tradition in literature. Self-knowledge is one of the most important human needs; Different schools have dealt with it in some way. In Islamic mysticism, special attention has been paid to this issue; According to mystics, man reaches growth and perfection in the light of self-knowledge and achieving knowledge of God is possible only through self-knowledge. Attar Neyshabouri is one of the thinkers who tried to make self-knowledge the theme of literary-mystical works put yourself. Understanding the view of this Muslim mystic on the subject of self-knowledge can, on the one hand, pave the way for further research in this field, on the other hand, provide appropriate answers to the questions raised in this field. This study has examined the category of "self-knowledge" from the perspective of the great Muslim mystic, Attar Neyshabouri, in the Mantiq al-Tair; for this study, a descriptive method with content analysis has been adopted. The library method was used to collect information. Descriptive methods and rational reasoning have been used to analyze the findings. First, a brief review of the book Mantiq al-Tair and the importance and place of self-knowledge in this work has been done. Conceptual or perceptual metaphors are based on understanding an abstract matter with a conceptual and concrete approach or portraying subjective concepts. Mystical language has always spoken of abstract concepts and therefore to be understood better, they use interconnected conceptual metaphors which themselves are chained together. Conceptual metaphor of mirror is one of the most persistent types of conceptual metaphor in the cognitive and epistemic field which itself arose from mystical notions and has created a chain of implicit arguments. The present article is an attempt to introduce the conceptual metaphor of mirror, its historical origin, more general versions of it in the field of mystical metaphors and the implicit implications emanating from this sort of metaphor. The purpose of this study was to compare antisocial and borderline personality disorder, empathy, and mirror neuron function in chronic addicts and non-addicts with secure and insecure attachment styles. The research method is causal-comparative. The statistical population of this study consisted of all opioid addicts (opium and heroin addicts) who were referred to addiction treatment centers in Tehran in 2019. Sampling method was purposive sampling. The research instruments included the Hazen & Shaver Attachment Style Questionnaire (1987), Davies Empathy Questionnaire (1983), the Millon 3 Clinical Multidisciplinary Questionnaire, and electroencephalography apparatus. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance. Results of data analysis showed that main effect of attachment styles was significant (p <0.05). Accordingly, the differences between the two groups of secure and insecure attachment styles in antisocial personality, borderline personality, empathy, and mirror neuron function in the cz channel were confirmed. Accordingly, in both groups of addicts and non-addicts, insecure attachment style had a greater effect on antisocial personality, borderline personality, empathy, and mirror neuronal function in the cz channel. . Also, people with a secure attachment style from a psychoanalytic perspective have a better ability to control their transient needs and behavioral impulses. Benefiting from a strong super ego allows the individual to manage and control the emotions and impulses of the id more powerfully. Postponement of immediate and transient needs draws human attention and concentration to the satisfaction of more important and long-term needs that play an effective role in a person's mental health, as well as the amount of neurotic anxiety caused by interpersonal conflicts. AbstractArchetypes are relics of thousands of years and a common heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation over the centuries. Our Iranian ancestors, like people around the world, were subconsciously in touch with them. One of these collective patterns is the mirror, which was not the only means of seeing the face; it was associated with spirit, life, future, witchcraft and divinity. According to the book The Wonders of Creatures and Garshasb nameh, the mirror is sometimes a mediator between the earth and the sky, and sometimes the truth-tellers are aware of the secrets. Sometimes the mirror is the window of the soul, sometimes the soul is manifested in it. We know that human life and movement depend on the soul. Blood also makes life possible in the human body and, from the point of view of ancient peoples, accommodates the souls of beings. The ancient people understood the importance of this vital substance and tried in every way to prevent its destruction and consequently damage to their souls. And in various forms such as; Shadows, intellect, subconscious, solar force, reflection of the world, spirit of life, connection between earth and sky, etc. appear. A better understanding of the ancient and the subconscious leads to a better understanding of our people and a better connection with the hidden half of our being and a new window into the inside. Although it seems that the books, History and class consciousness by George Lukacs and a mirror for the voices and the second millennium of the mountain deer by Shafi'i Kadkani, are completely different in the term of form and they are written in non-homogeneous formats, they profoundly enjoy the same ideological premises which are the outcome of the similar views of two Western and Eastern thinkers in explaining social justice in a dynamic society. The objective of the current study is to comparatively analyze the literary works to represent the unity of human needs and fulfill the aspirations of an ideal humankind with social dignity, which despite the spatial differences, has some conformity due to the similarity of life issues in the present age. The study has been conducted by the statistical method of descriptive-analytics, using library notes. The study is aiming to explore the rational response, the creation of driving force and the reduction of inequalities in order to create social and cultural development based on the theory of individual class consciousness. The results indicate that the process of social awareness formation using the enlightening social and philosophical content of these works consists of three different stages; the consciousness stage that reveals itself in the form of objectification, the second stage, during which the protest enters into symbolic forms and finally the third stage, which leads to consolidation. It is the supreme goal of the two liberal thinkers. Manuscript profile

Implementation of neuromorphic computing systems (NCSs) using digital and analog circuits occupies a high chip area and consumes high power. With the advancement of nanotechnology, the hybrid Magnetic tunnel junction/Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (MTJ/CMOS) circuits have made it possible to implement NCSs with higher density and lower power consumption. However, still there is a gap between the performance of the human brain and NCSs. To mitigate this gap, it is essential to further decrease the energy consumption and the delay of the NCS. The high energy consumption of the MTJ-based NCS is mostly related to the high current needed to switch the MTJ state. Hence, some previous methods tried to perform real-time tracking of the MTJ state by monitoring its voltage and cutting off its current immediately after switching. However, due to the small voltage changes after switching, these methods suffer from a high-power consumption (they need power-hungry amplifiers). In this paper, a new method based on the tracking of MTJ current (instead of voltage) and terminating the MTJ current after switching is proposed. Due to the large changes in the MTJ current after switching (about 40%), there is no need to use an amplifier in the proposed circuit. Therefore, the conventional voltage-mode sensing circuit is replaced with the proposed circuit, to improve the energy efficiency, speed and delay of the NCS. In all state-of-the-art designs, the voltage changes on nodes across the MTJ (PL, FL or both of them) have been used to detect the MTJ switching. However, the proposed circuit detects the MTJ switching by properly sensing the MTJ current and terminates its current immediately. The simulation results in 65-nm CMOS technology confirm that the proposed technique improves the energy consumption and speed of the NCS by 49% and 2.1X compared with the typical NCS. The Shiva religious tradition is one of the ancient Hindu forms that has its origins in the long-standing civilization of the Indus Valley and its various branches are still widely followed throughout the Indian subcontinent. This tradition, like other religions and sects, has special rituals called "rites of passage" which are performed in four stages of a person's life (ie, birth, marriage, marriage and death). These mirrors, known as "samskareh", are in fact religious rituals that are performed in order to mark important milestones in the progress of the life of Shiva believers, and their purpose is to formalize and bless each stage, determine duties and rights. Religious people are to protect people from the harmful effects of the environment, and finally, to ensure a constructive and continuous relationship with God. Shams-e Tabrizi is an eminent figure in Sufism and also is one of the most influential characters on Jalāl al-Din Rūmi, however based on existing sources some aspects of his character is ambiguous. In Maqalat, written by Shams-e Tabrizi and reflecting its author’s life and beliefs, we encounter some phrases referring to concepts of self-assertion and boastfulness which represent the position of the concept of "ego" in the author’s mind. These phrases mainly refer to admirable aspects of "self" or criticize and denounce some Sufis. But on the other hand, in Islamic mysticism and Sufism, self-assertion and boastfulness are obstacles to attain the Truth. So, we are faced with a paradox in Maqalat that is mainly rooted in the author's personality. According to the psychoanalytical approach, literary works are examined as the mentality of the author and reflections of his/her unconscious. In the present article, based on method of psychological criticism, we attempt to study Maqalat, and to examine the "realm of imagination" of the author regarding to the concept of ego. This is done by mapping the metaphorical process of "the mirror stage" and showing the emergence of narcissism and its behavioral appearances.   Manuscript profile

In the works of Muslim mystics, mirror has a wide presence. According to historical documents, mirror has been used symbolically by Imam Alī ibn Mūsā al-Rezā, for first time to explain mystical monotheism. In prose and verse works of Muslim mystics, it is used for explanation of manifestation and presence of God and pantheism. As a mystical symbol, mirror is highly noticed in the works of Mawlavi (Rumi) and Ayn al-Quzat Hamadani. The application of mirror in these works can be analyzed in three stages: mystical ontology, mystical cosmology and mystical anthropology. Ayn al-Quzat uses the metaphor of mirror to express the inability of human reason in understanding God, the role of perfect man and being mirror-like in reflecting the reality, but Rumi uses the metaphor widely and has a different expression. He emphasizes on the role of perfect man and being mirror-like, refers to the mystical issues such as Divine names and attributes, pantheism and manifestation of God, and speaks about light and color which are related to symbol of  mirror. In this research, the role of texture and internal and external markers in the formation of the final identity of some of the Qur'anic vocabulary has been demonstrated. For example, words such as "Wali", "The First" and "Zakat", which are accepted in the light of propositions, textures and signs, have been adopted in various ways. For example, the word "vali", whose semiotic meaning is descendant, brings with it different meanings in the light of various textures and phrases. Sometimes it means the server, and sometimes the helper and friend are meant, and finds their last identity in the context of sentences, and also the word "zakat" and other words. This process of semantic formation, in all words and in all languages, is legally pervasive. By examining Persian translations of contemporary Persian, their attention to the context of sentences and peripheral evidence is evaluated in the formation of authentic and expressive translation.
