For explaining why "progress" in human sciences is not sensible likeprogress in natural sciences, there are two different approaches. In thefirst approach methodology of natural sciences is the same as themethodology of human sciences. But quality of one of them, i.e. humansciences is lower than another. Proponents of this approach believe thathuman sciences are not "science" in the same way that natural sciencesare. In the second approach, human sciences are "science" in the sameway that natural sciences are. But their quality is different and so theirmethodology is different. Neo-Kantians like Wilhelm Windelband,Heinrisch Rickert and Max Weber are proponents of second approach. In this essay, firstly, I briefly examine the difference between methodsof two sciences and dichotomy between "explanation" and"understanding". Secondly I describe Neo-Kantian approaches and byintroducing new dichotomy proposed by Rickert and Weber, I examineMax Weber's ideas in methodology in details. Finally I come toconclusion that Weber's approach for social science is comparable withsome scientists approach in natural science. Manuscript profile

In this paper, the views of Shmuel Eisenstadt about the emergence of transcendental visions in the religions of axial age are analyzed in a descriptive-analytic method. Eisenstadt considers the most important religious transformation of the axial age to be the emergence of transcendental visions in Judaism, Confucianism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. In his analysis, transcendental visions distinguished between two realms of transcendental order (refined) and mundane order (polluted), and all attempts for the resolution of the tension between transcendental order and mundane order led to the institutionalization of some different orientations in axial age religions: this-worldly orientation (proper performance of worldly duties) in Confucianism; other-worldly orientation (act of renunciation) in Hinduism and Buddhism; and combination of this and other-worldly orientations (legal rules, cultic orientation, ritual prescriptions and ethical injunctions) in Judaism. In Eisenstadt's viewpoint, the institutionalization of these orientations led to the reconstruction of mundane order in some aspects: Appearance of secular rulers who were partially responsive to the transcendental order; and the separation of collective identity based on sacredness from the other types of collective identities based on civility and primordiality. The purpose of the present study is to review the components of Imām Khomeyni's leadership and behavior from the view of theorists in the field of political psychology and political science. In this regard and using a descriptive-analytic method, it was attempted to explain the essence, character, and political behavior of his leadership and the cause of his deep impact on the social, cultural, and political transformations. The comparative review of the two theories by Alfred Adler and Max Weber and leadership characteristics of Imām Khomeyni revealed that some of appropriate strategies in his political behavior include commitment, justice, self-purification, avoidance of hypocrisy, life style, creativity, decisiveness, and so on. Contrary to charismatic leaders and Max Weber's theory, he paid attention to the consolidating role of people and regarded the source of legitimacy to be divine not personal. He was immensely against gathering fanatic followers for himself as well as mass and passive outlook on people. Manuscript profile

The stable core of the thoughts of Max Weber and Shahid Motahari is rationality. Rationality in Weber's thoughts has built something based on Kantian subjectivism by passing Parsonsian reading. It means that man should not make the reality in accordance with the reality, but should falsify and validate it; Because there is no previous cultural phenomenon in the fields of thought and ethics; Also, rationality in the thoughts of Martyr Motahari includes broad aspects such as being a revelation and a follower of the Sharia, which uses various tools such as experience, revelation, narration, and reason, and from where it has been able to provide comprehensiveness to the various social dimensions of the revolution. It is the ideology of the Islamic revolution. In this article, the qualitative research method is used and the data analysis method is descriptive. The result obtained is that rationality in Weber's thoughts can be understood and analyzed based on credit perceptions and not real perceptions in the intellectual system of Shahid Motahari. In this article, the influence of religious and political institutions on the stability of governments is examined as one of the most important components of political life and also one of the main factors of the authority and stability of governments. In this study,we compare the religious and political institutions mentioned in the Shahnameh and the history of old Iranshahri,as well as the political institutions effective in the stability of governments from the point of view of Weber, one of the most important western thinkers. It has been submitted and will be paid. In this article, the method of text analysis has been used and the theory of Leo Strauss regarding the study of ancient texts has been taken into consideration .The theoretical conclusion of this article is that religious and political institutions have a decisive role in the survival of governments, but depending on the macro policies of the government, its effect on the stability of the governments varies, that is, political institutions play a role in relation to the macro policies of the governments. In an ideological government, political institutions are at the disposal of the rulers, and through those political institutions, they apply the ideology of the continuation of domination and in other words the stability of the government. In this type of government, expertise is generally sacrificed for commitment to ideology, while in democratic governments Political institutions, based on a pre-defined and organized system, work to improve the methods of good governance of the country, circulation of elites and improvement of citizens' lives. In his study of world religions, Max Weber formulates his religious typology and presents two main ideal types in this respect. The first ideal type is inner-worldly asceticism, mainly Protestant Puritans, who are active in socio-political actions, and the second ideal type is world-flying mysticism, mainly followers of East-Asian religions and Islamic Sufis, who are passive in socio-political actions on the way to salvation. However, referring to the historical facts of the socio-political life of the Safavid Sufi masters in the process of development of Safavid government through archival research method and reviewing related historical texts, reveals cases contrary to Weber's views, and our problem emerges from this Inconsistency between scientific knowledge and historical reality. So, the main question is that according to Weber, can Sufism and Sufi Masters be included in ideal type of world- flying mysticism? Findings shows that the Safavid Sufi masters, in addition to paying attention to transcendental matters, also have taken role in worldly socio-political affairs. Therefore, they are not world-flying and passive, but their Sufism and Sufi beliefs, along with other possible effective factors, has taken an important role in the development of Safavid government. Partisan is one of the most important indicators of political development and a factor for political stability and participation. History of partisanship in Iranian society dates back to constitutional era. Establishments, divisions and successive dissolutions of parties from the constitutional era to the date refer to existence of various issues in front of this social phenomenon. Majority of researches in field of political parties are focused on structural factors and macro social as state features, power relations and political culture and party activists action have been less analyzed. Examining the patterns of party activists action in the 60s to 90s solar can help us better understanding of damages in front of this social phenomenon. In this study, with an approach affected by Max Weber's theory of action, relevant texts of the most effective parties in the decades were evaluated. Research results from the study show that party activists action pattern is more emotional and traditional than rational (as required the parties activities and consolidation), therefore the partisan phenomenon is challenged by basic questions. The reason for existence of such challenges in front of party activists is an issue that needs independent investigations by itself. Manuscript profile
