        Silver has long been known for its antibacterial properties. In fact, silver nanoparticles, due to the release of silver ions, show such properties against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and are widely used as additives in poultry diets. Regarding the antibacterial effects of this compound, research has shown contradictory results that do not indicate beneficial antibacterial effects. For this study, 240 one-day-old male chickens were divided into six groups with four replications. The experimental groups were: control diet (without additives), diet containing 10 ppm of the antibiotic avilamycin, diet containing 400 ml of silver nanoparticles per ton of feed, diet containing 800 ml of silver nanoparticles per ton of feed, diet containing 400 ml of silver nanoparticles per cubic meter of drinking water, diet containing 800 ml of silver nanoparticles per cubic meter of drinking water and to investigate the effect of silver nanoparticles on growth factor and body efficiency and some blood and serum parameters and microbial population of the device Digestive (ileum) of broiler chickens and comparison of antibacterial and growth stimulant effects with avilamycin antibiotic.The results showed a significant increase (P <0.05) in monocytes and chicken feed consumption and an increase in Clostridium population and a significant decrease in triglyceride concentration in the 800 ml group of silver particles in the diet and water (P <0.05), but its effect There was no significant effect on chicken weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Contrary to popular belief, silver nanoparticles are not suitable as a growth stimulant additive to control harmful bacteria in the poultry digestive tract and strengthen the immune system, increasing the feed conversion ratio of broilers.         This study was conducted to investigate the biochemical diversity and antioxidant properties of three accessions of Perovskia abrotanoides Kar. in eastern Alborz mountain range including Semnan and Mazandaran provinces. Flowering specimens were collected from three natural habitats of Damghan (station 1, 1504 m), Kordmir (station 2, 1672 m) and Shahrud (station 3, 1285 m) in July 2018. The amount of proline, protein, soluble sugars, phenolic compounds, hydrogen peroxide, potassium, copper, zinc, iron, nickel, magnesium, manganese and calcium as well as soil salinity were measured. Methanolic, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and hexane extracts were extracted by soaking method and the antioxidant activity of the extracts was evaluated using the DPPH radical scavenging capacity. The experiment was conducted as a completely randomized design with 3 replications and the comparison of data means was performed using Duncan's test at a probability level of 5%. The results showed that the highest amount of proline and potassium was in station 1, the highest amount of protein, phenolic compounds, soil salinity and magnesium content were obtained from station 3 and the highest amount of iron was observed in station 2. Moreover, station 3 had the highest level of antioxidant activity in all extracts, and all stations had the lowest level of antioxidant activity in hexane extract. Dichloromethane extracts in stations 2 and 3 had the highest level of antioxidant activity, while in station 1 the highest level of antioxidant activity was found in methanolic extract. Therefore, we concluded that with increasing soil salinity, the phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the populations of P. abrotanoides increase. Manuscript profile

        سلنیوم (Se) یک ریز عنصر اساسی برای انسان و یک عنصر مفید برای گیاهان است. اخیراً، بهبود وضعیت گیاهان با سلنیوم به عنوان یک روش کلیدی برای افزایش کیفیت گیاه مطرح شده است. هدف از این پژوهش بررسی شاخص‌های پس از برداشت گیاه شمعدانی (Pelargonium Peltatum) با افزودن سلنیوم به بستر کاشت به فرم Na2SeO4 با غلظت‌های 20، 40 و 60 میکرومولار استفاده شد. نتایج نشان داد که، وزن گل، مقدار نسب(RWC) ،آنتوسیانین و ویتامین C در طول زمان نگهداری کاهش می‌یابد. مالون دی آلدید (MAD) با پیشرفت زمان ذخیره‌سازی افزایش یافت. محتوای فنلی کل(TPC) ، مقدار کل فلاونوئید (TFC) در روزهای اولیه ذخیره سازی به طور قابل توجهی افزایش یافته و سپس تا پایان ذخیره سازی در روزهای 4 و 6 کاهش یافت.سلنیوم به طور قابل توجهی وزن گل،RWC ، آنتوسیانین، ویتامینC ، TPC را بهبود بخشید. اگرچه سلنیوم در افزایش کیفیت شمعدنی پیچ (Pelargonium Peltatum) موثر بود، اما بین 40 و 60 میکرومولار سلنیوم در تمام صفات تفاوت معنی ‌داری وجود نداشت. بنابراین، این آزمایش استفاده از 40 میکرومولار سلنیوم را برای بهبود ماندگای پس زمان پس از برداشت گل‌های شمعدنی پیچ (Pelargonium Peltatum) به عنوان یک گیاه زینتی، دارویی، معطر و خوراکی توصیه می‌کند.         Background & Objectives: Rhizobia are able to fix atmospheric nitrogen and provide a significant amount of nitrogen in the soil. The purpose of this study was to isolate and identify the biochemical properties of indigenous Sinorhizobium meliloti bacteria in two regions of Iran, and also to detect the strains with higher efficiency, which have the potential to be used as bio-fertilizer.  Materials & Methods: In this cross- sectional study, bacteria were collected from alfalfa plants in areas around Qom and Khorasan Provinces. These bacteria were identified using nodulation test, as well as biochemical and molecular examinations. The growth curves of these isolates were drawn. The isolates with higher efficiency were identified by inoculation of bacteria into alfalfa seeds and comparison of the rate of plant growth. Results: The isolated bacteria did not show a same reaction in Lithmus milk medium. All bacteria were gelatinase-negative, and only a few strains were able to utilize starch of the media. Some bacteria were able to grow in the presence of hydrophobic compounds. S22K and S36k from Khorasan, S3Q and S12Q from Qom showed better effects on the growth of test plants in comparison to other isolates. Conclusion: The results of these research showed that some indigenous bacteria of S. meliloti are able to digest starch and were able to grow in the presence of SDS. Among the isolates, strains S3Q and S22K had the better potential for application as biological fertilizer. This research could be a step for the production of bio-fertilizers in our country.
