Introduction: Considering the negative psychological consequences of migraine, this study was conducted with the aim of comparing cognitive-behavioral therapy, desensitization with eye movements and biofeedback on migraine attacks, anxiety sensitivity, and quality of sleep and life of women with migraine. Methods: The present research was semi-experimental with a pretest, posttest and follow-up design with a control group. The research population was all women suffering from migraine headaches who referred to Ayandeh Chashmandaz Clinic of Tehran city in 2020 year, which number of 60 people of them were selected by simple random sampling and randomly assigned to four equal groups. The cognitive-behavioral therapy group received 11 sessions of 90 minutes as a group, the eye movement desensitization and reprocessing group received 12 sessions of 90 minutes as an individual, the biological feedback group received 15 sessions of 45 minutes as an individual, and during this time the group did not receive training. The data were collected with headache diary note form, anxiety sensitivity inventory, Pittsburgh sleep quality index and quality of life questionnaire and were analyzed by multiple variance analysis method in SPSS version 25 software. Results: The findings showed that in both posttest and follow-up stages in number and intensity of migraine attacks the effect of all three intervention methods was greater than the control group, and the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy was greater than eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two methods of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback (P>0.05). In during migraine attacks the effect of all three intervention methods was greater than the control group, and the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy was greater than eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback, and the effect of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing was greater than biological feedback (P<0.05). Also, in both posttest and follow-up stages in anxiety sensitivity and sleep quality the effect of all three intervention methods was greater than that control group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the methods (P>0.05). In addition, in both posttest and follow-up stages in quality of life the effect of all three intervention methods was greater than the control group, and the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy was greater than eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two methods of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback (P>0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of the current research, health therapists and professionals can be use all three methods of cognitive-behavioral therapy, with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and biological feedback, especially cognitive behavioral therapy to improve migraine attacks, anxiety sensitivity, sleep quality and quality of life of women with Migraine. The main propose of this study was to compare the anxiety sensitivity and coping stress strategies between patients with non-cardiac chest pain, cardiac disease and healthy individuals. An ex-post- facto design was used as the research design. The population included all patients with non-cardiac and cardiac chest pain who referred to Shiraz health centers in 2013. Subjects were 50 cardiac patients (28 females and 22 males), 50 patients with non-cardiac chest Pain (29 females and 21 males) and 50 people as normal matched group (27 female and 23 male) within 22 to 81 years old age range who were selected through purposive sampling method. The instruments for data collection consisted of Anxiety Sensitivity Index (Taylor & Cox, 1998), Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (Parker & Endler, 1990), and a researcher-made demographic information checklist. Then the data was analyzed with one way analysis of variance and chi square. Results indicated that both cardiac and non- cardiac chest pain patients significantly are lower than normal matched group in using problem solving coping strategies (P<0.01) and higher in using emotional (P<0.01) and avoidance coping strategies (P<0.05). Results also indicated that non-cardiac chest pain patients showed highest sensitivity to all 6 subscales and normal group showed lowest sensitivity. In this regard, patients with cardiac disease could stand between the two groups and both groups of patients were significantly different from the normal healthy group (P<0.05). As a conclusion, psychological variables such as anxiety sensitivity and coping stress strategies can predict pain frequency, severity and treatment seeking especially for patients with Non –cardiac chest pain. Various psychological vulnerabilities such as uncertainty, perceived vulnerability to disease, psychological vulnerability background, anxiety, and worry can contribute to the fear of the coronavirus disease. One of these factors is anxiety sensitivity that refers to the fear of the feelings associated with anxiety arousal due to perceived physical, psychological, or social consequences. There is evidence that anxiety sensitivity plays an important role in the persistence and progression of anxiety symptoms in all anxiety disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of anxiety sensitivity and uncertainty intolerance in predicting the severity of coronavirus disease anxiety. For this purpose, a descriptive correlational study was conducted on 128 volunteers assessed in terms of Covid-19 disease anxiety, anxiety sensitivity, and uncertainty intolerance. The results of multiple regression analysis showed the existence of a significant relationship between disease anxiety, anxiety sensitivity, and uncertainty intolerance (p <.001). The results of stepwise regression analysis showed that 30.1% of the variance of coronavirus disease anxiety was explainable by anxiety sensitivity and uncertainty intolerance. According to the results of this study, anxiety sensitivity and uncertainty intolerance can be considered appropriate predictors of coronavirus disease anxiety. Manuscript profile

Perceived stress is a psychological state or process in which a person perceives their physical and psychological well being as threatening. The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating role of experiential avoidance in the relationship between anxiety sensitivity and perceived stress among students. For this purpose, 360 students of Islamic Azad University of Tabriz were selected through multistage cluster random sampling method and evaluated in terms of perceived stress, anxiety sensitivity, and acceptance and practice. Regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between perceived stress with anxiety sensitivity and experiential avoidance. Further, it was indicated that experiential avoidance has a significant positive correlation with anxiety sensitivity. Additionally, hierarchical regression analysis showed that anxiety sensitivity and experiential avoidance, alone and in interaction with each other, have the ability to predict the perceived stress. Furthermore, simple slope analysis presented that experiential avoidance has a moderating role in the relationship between anxiety sensitivity and perceived stress; it has an increasing effect so that in both high and low levels of experiential avoidance there is a significant relationship between perceived stress and anxiety sensitivity; however, when anxiety sensitivity and experiential avoidance are at a high level, the amount of perceived stress at the various levels of experiential avoidance (highest and low) is relatively closer. It seems that experiential avoidance has a moderating role in the relationship between anxiety sensitivity and perceived stress. Manuscript profile

Generalized anxiety disorder, is one of the destructive chronic anxiety disorders and is common in childhood and adolescence and has generated many problems in the field of health. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on intolerance of uncertainty and anxiety sensitivity. Therefore, in a quasi-experimental research with pretest, posttest, and control group, 30 students diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder were selected from Robat Karim city’s high schools and randomly assigned to experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The experimental group received 9 sessions of group cognitive-behavioral therapy and the control group received no intervention. Subjects in both groups were evaluated for generalized anxiety, anxiety sensitivity and intolerance of uncertainty before and after the intervention. The results of analysis of covariance showed that cognitive-behavioral interventions have significantly reduced the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, anxiety sensitivity and intolerance of uncertainty. It seems that cognitive-behavioral therapy, through decreasing the level of intolerance of uncertainty and anxiety sensitivity, is an appropriate method in treatment of generalized anxiety. The aim of this study is to evaluate the structural relationships of anxiety sensitivity, worry and difficulty in regulating emotions with generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and panic disorder. For this purpose, in a hypothetical structural model plan, which represented a network of direct and indirect relationships between anxiety, worry and difficulty in regulating emotions with generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and panic disorder, 250 (125 boys and 125 girls) of Tabriz University students were selected by cluster sampling. They were evaluated in terms of sensitivity to anxiety, worry, and difficulty in regulating emotion, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations modeling indicated that sensitivity to anxiety, worry and difficulty in regulating emotions have a profound impact on anxiety disorders. The findings supported the appropriate fitness of hypothetical structure in the variables of study. The current study has provided a useful framework for formation and development of anxiety disorders apart from confirming previous findings and increases our knowledge of the etiology of these disorders.
