Female infertility has devastating psychosocial consequences in the family and the use of psychological intervention to deal with this stressful situation is of great importance. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of family-based problem solving training on mental well-being of infertile women in Kermanshah. The quasi-experimental method was pretest-posttest with a control group. The statistical population included infertile women referring to infertility centers in Kermanshah; they were selected by purposive sampling method of 30 people and randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group (15 people). Data was gathered through mental well-being measures including life satisfaction (Diner, 1985) and positive and negative emotions (Watson, 1988). First, the tools were completed by two experimental and control groups, then the experimental group received ten one-hour sessions problem-solving training, after the training, the post-test was performed and the data were analyzed by analysis of covariance. The results showed that the pretest-posttest values in the experimental group were significantly different compared to the control group. The findings of this study showed that problem solving training increased life satisfaction and positive emotion and decreased negative emotion in infertile women. Therefore family-based problem-solving education as coping strategy is effective in promoting the mental health of infertile women Manuscript profile

Present research aimed to comparison the quality of life and social well-being in infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy and fertile women. This study was a descriptive from type of comparative. The research population was women referred to Zahedan infertility center in spring and summer seasons of 2018 year, that from them 60 people were selected by simple random sampling method. Also 60 fertile women who were matched with them were selected as a sample for comparison. Data collection tools included the questionnaires of quality of life (World Health Organization, 2006) and social well-being (Keyes, 1998). Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance method with using SPSS of 21 versions. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the quality of life and social well-being in infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy and fertile women. In the other word, the rate of quality of life and social well-being in the fertile women significantly was higher than the infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy (P<0/001). Infertility is a complex crisis in life, and perhaps this is why many authors have likened the psychological consequences of infertility to the general mourning. Studies have shown that psychological factors can contribute to infertility, and that infertility also has psychological consequences. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching Gottman model of emotional-consensual model on the fear of intimacy and intimacy in infertility. For this purpose, in a semi-experimental, pre-test, post-test with control group, 22 infertile women referring to infertility centers and medical diagnostic laboratory of Qods of Tehran province were selected using available sampling method. A randomized design was applied to experimental and control groups. The groups were evaluated for fear of intimacy and anxiety before and after the intervention. The experimental group was subjected to intermittent interventional thrill-fusion simulation for 10 sessions of 120 minutes using the Johnson group intervention program and the Bowlby attachment theory and several key categories of the Gottman model. The control group did not receive any intervention. The results of multivariate covariance analysis showed that the training of the combined model caused a significant reduction in the fear of infertility and anxiety among infertile persons. It seems that teaching the integrated model of an exciting approach and the Gottman model can be used to reduce the Fear of Infertility and the anxiety of infertile women. Manuscript profile

Infertility affects various aspects of individuals’ life, and perhaps could be considered as one of the most common and stressful events in people's lives. The aim of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of treatment based on commitment and acceptance on marital compatibility among infertile women who referred to health and medical centers at Mashhad Medical Sciences University. In order to do so, through a quasi-experimental research with pre-test, post-test, and control group, 30 infertile women were selected by availability sampling method and randomly assigned into experimental and control groups (n=15). Subjects in both groups were tested for marital compatibility prior and following the implementation of the research. The experimental group received ten sessions of acceptance and commitment therapy; whereas the control group received no interventions. The result of multi-variable covariance analysis presented that Acceptance and Commitment therapy is effective on marital compatibility among infertile women (0/05>P). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Acceptance and Commitment therapy improves marital compatibility in infertile women. Manuscript profile
