Comparison the quality of life and social well-being in infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy and fertile women

Abstract :
Present research aimed to comparison the quality of life and social well-being in infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy and fertile women. This study was a descriptive from type of comparative. The research population was women referred to Zahedan infertility center in spring and summer seasons of 2018 year, that from them 60 people were selected by simple random sampling method. Also 60 fertile women who were matched with them were selected as a sample for comparison. Data collection tools included the questionnaires of quality of life (World Health Organization, 2006) and social well-being (Keyes, 1998). Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance method with using SPSS of 21 versions. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the quality of life and social well-being in infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy and fertile women. In the other word, the rate of quality of life and social well-being in the fertile women significantly was higher than the infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy (P<0/001). Therefore, infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization therapy need to intervention to improve their psychological characteristics.
