Cognitive linguistics considers grammatical constructions based on mental construction and focuses on meaning and believes: meaning is not independent of human cognition and perception and language coding includes factors such as selection, perspective, focus, framing, categorization methods. , And is part of this, and the linguistic structure is a direct reflection of cognition, that is, a particular linguistic expression depends on a particular way of conceptualizing a particular situation; This view is very similar to Abdul Qahir's theory of order, which says: The meaning of speech is achieved when it is poured into regular words according to the special order and composition that have regular and orderly meanings in the human soul and heart. Attention to the cognitive role of language, the importance of meaning, following syntactic structures from the structure of mental meaning, and the factors that cognitive linguists consider effective in encoding language are evident in Abdul Qahir. Considering the importance of the cognitive perspective in contemporary linguistics and due to the comprehensiveness and accuracy of Abdul Qahir's linguistic views, which has become extremely important in scientific circles, in this article we compared and analyzed the views of cognitive linguists with Abdul Qahir's linguistic views and concluded that both Language is considered as one of the cognitive powers that has empirical, psychological and social role. And grammar follows meaning and concept, and the meaning of language is influenced by the point of view, position and individual knowledge and its objective application. Manuscript profile

Through the theory of conceptual metaphor, Lakoff and Johnson showed that metaphors originate from the mind and reach the language and as long as there are no conceptual changes in the mind, no metaphors are created. Persian literature, with a large body of available resources, includes a treasure of numerous conceptual metaphors. The current study uses a cognitive approach and investigates one of the important metaphors in the Persian literature, namely the “Zephyr is human” metaphor. The main research question investigates how Zephyr is conceptualized in Persian language. The data for this study is gathered from divan of Hafez. Analysis of the data indicated that Zephyr in Persian literature is conceptually portrayed as a lover/healer/veiled/patient listener/ secretive human as well as a human who is gossiper/ sick/ liar/ rival and unfaithful. By comparing the dual personality and selfishness of Zephyr (Baad-e-Saba) in Persian poems, one can reach the conclusion that Zephyr (Bad-e-Saba) is probably a remaining visage of ancient Iranian god of Vayu. Lakoff and Johnson's research in the field of metaphor proved that the uses of metaphor are not limited to the field of literary studies and are rooted in human thought that one of the manifestations of it is language. Conceptual metaphor is a term in cognitive linguistics that explains most of the metaphors around us along with the origin-destination pattern. In Masnavi, Rumi has used the conceptual metaphor of light as a linguistic tool to expand cognitive meanings and concepts. This research answers the question through a descriptive-analytical method: How does the contemporary theory of cognitive linguistics match the conceptual metaphor of light in Masnavi? Finally, we concluded that the conceptual metaphor of light refers to the absolute essence of Hazrat Haqq, the mirror of guidance, the guide of the religion, the sun of truth, and the expression of Ana al-Haqq (I am the Truth) of selected saints. Due to the large volume of Masnavi's hundred verses, a statistical sample was selected from the second book, in which the word "light" is used 122 times. Manuscript profile

propositions which are of two types of simple and compoundin Mokriyan dialect which have the capabilities of being considered from the cognitive linguistics view and the present grammar of Kurdish language expresses the definitions, structure, and their meanings regardless a particular framework. According to the rules like conceptualizations and following the metaphoric patterns which are dominating over the languages, cognitive linguistics prepare a more accurate view over the meanings of the propositions in comparison to the traditional views, moreover, different meanings of the propositions are introduced in a systematic way in this approach. Kurdish language propositions and specially its Mokrian dialect variants have the capacity of being examined by cognitive approaches in which we here examine the (la). Its two simple and compound propositions are analyzed by the metaphoric patterns that are made by following the human body parts and the iconicity of the propositions which comes from the human mental images. This mentioned iconicity is created by modelling the familiar patterns for language users such as human body and physical shapes of this structure. Manuscript profile

Polysemy is one of the most important issues that has been considered in different schools of linguistics and especially in cognitive approach. In this descriptive-documentary study, polysemy in loanwords of Persian and Turkish of Azerbaijani was discussed. The data selected from local journals in Persian and Turkish languages, the Turkish-Persian dictionary of Shahmaresi and the Persian-Azerbaijani dictionary written by Behzadi. Prototypical meanings were based on the results of the interview and the linguistic intuition of the authors. Totally, 20 polysemous common adjectives identified from the corpuses and a radial network drawn from six of them. Among the cognitive mechanisms of polysemy creation, it was proved that conceptual metaphors would play the greatest role among them. Moreover, the connection between the meanings of polysemous adjectives is not accidental, but a systematic relationship existed and described by radial categorization. It was also found that the cognitive mechanisms of polysemy creation in Turkish and Persian common adjectives (loanwords) were the same and they differed only in the number of peripheral meanings which can be a step in confirming the sharing of human cognitive abilities. Also, high number of peripheral meanings in the target language may be due to the bilingualism and dynamic schematics. The results, along with complementary studies, can be applied in the field of language teaching, lexicography, more efficient translation machines and they will be helpful for all the stakeholders in the field. The purpose of this research is cognitive study of patterns and the dominant one for distributing information about the manner, path, and motion in Mazandarani language. Through interviews and conversations with 15 native speakers over 50 years old. The data were collected and recorded. In order to conduct interviews, efforts were made to focus on situations and contexts in which the possibility of a motion event occurring was high. The recorded speech data were then represented in writing. In analyzing the meaning of verbs, the focus was only on the explicit and physical meaning, and the metaphorical and implicit meanings were avoided. Then, based on Talamy criteria (2000b), data were analyzed. The results show that there are six patterns of lexicography in Mazandarani language. The other one is mentioned as it is not possible to determine the dominant pattern for the distribution of information about manner and path in the Mazandarani language since, in this language, motor verbs render this information into words to the same extent. Abstract         The basic topical metaphor in the study of linguistics is an instrument for contemplation and understanding the abstract implications. Of the achievement of linguistics cognition is the discovery of this fact that languages often use the thematical metaphors to mark the abstract implications concrete. The conceptual metaphors explain the target sphere which is concrete. In " the literature of old schools " which includes the important part of folk literature, " wine " has extensive meaning realm and precedes the wine extracted from grapes and finds abstract meaning. The purpose of this research which has been done by library studies is to be familiar with the metaphorical and allusive meaning of wine in Iranian ancient schools. Therefore the poetic and prose works of old schools , by usage of linguistic ideas such as George Lakoff and Mark Johnson were studied and 19 metaphoric points, in the domain of wine, were extracted which are: forgiveness, unconsciousness, drunkness, helper, medicine of mind, love, great men, cleaner, dance and singing, pillager, intelligence, being strong, infamy, and sanctity. The presence of a kind of unity and relative harmony in the semantic domain of the explicit trait of these thoughts and the imagination of love wine in the basic corollary of the text has reflected the metaphoric mentality of bibulousness in lyric and romantic texts of old Persian schools. The purpose of this study is to study and cognitively compare the cultural distance between the two non-adjacent language communities of Russia and Greece in terms of instrumental view towards women from the perspective of cultural linguistics. For this purpose, 330 common tool-words in the comprehensive German list were equated into these two languages and then the frequency of feminine grammatical gender in them was extracted as an indicator in the theoretical framework of the research. The results of the Chi-square test with a significance level of 0.416 show that the difference between the two frequencies is not significant but still exists and the feminine grammatical gender in Greek tool-words is more than Russian. The insignificance of this difference can be found in the cultural convergence based on common religious foundations, the spread of Greek cultural conceptualizations to Russia, the commonalities of Hofstede’s cultural dimensions and the proximity of basic human values. On the basis of this study, the instrumental view towards women among Russians is less than the Greek. Manuscript profile
