Many critics, including the Paris school, have studied the structures and narrative forms and examined the elements and rules of their composition. Among others, we can mention the model of Grimas, who, by inventing a system based on the representation of shapes for narration, proposes a plan based on how the relationships between units are. Semantics of the school of Paris and Grimas believe that reality is always elusive and the external factors involved in the emergence of the narrative and its real roots are always ambiguous. Therefore, narration is a kind of simulation of reality. In this article, which was done in a descriptive and analytical way and using library sources; By comparing Ibn Yamin's pieces and Arash Azarpik's works based on the action model of Grimas, he tries to answer the question of what kind of relationship (imitationist, revivalist, innovative, heretical, transcendentalist) exists between the works of these two. In fact, the purpose of this research is to investigate the degree of adaptation and understanding as much as possible to the pieces of Ibn Yamin and Arash Azarpik and to recognize the pattern of grimace, and it concludes that the narrative structure of Arash Azarpik's pieces is innovative compared to Ibn Yamin. 2 - Genettian Narrative Typology at Odds: Scrutiny of False Analepsis in The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling

In the world of narratology today, Gérard Genette’s narrative typology is among the most annotated schemata and it is widely popular since his narrative theory seems to prevail over a great number of narratives in the whole history of literature, ranging from classic to modernist and postmodernist works. It is as if such works were following a prescribed scheme to expand and develop – which proves the universality of his narrative theory. Throughout this article, Genettian typology is discussed from a partially different perspective in one of the canonical British prose works in The Age of Sensibility. The dominance of Genettian typology in Tom Jones is undeniable as it shall be discussed how; however, a modification and manipulation of one of the anachronies – analepsis – and the introduction of a new type of analepsis – false analepsis – by Henry Fielding employed for the first time in the very period is the major focus of this article. In this study, false analepsis are justified by means of exemplification and multiple references to Tom Jones as the only case study of this article. Moreover, the impact of anachronies on this work is emphasized. Fielding’s work not only employs anachronies, but also introduces a new branch of anachronies, which is the very false analepsis as a form of anachrony.  Manuscript profile

Through a deep study of the literary texts of recent decades, and considering narratology as the most noteworthy outcome of structuralism, one can notice that the structure and motifs of narrative texts based on the functions and relations of the characters have been focused on. That is why each one of the narratologists has pointed to the recurrent models in literary texts. Russian folklorist, Vladimir Propp, brought about major developments by introducing a comprehensive model for structural analysis of narrative texts. Regarding the vast and wide range of narrative fiction which provides a good ground for discovering the narrative structure and analysis, the researcher has tried to analyze the structure of Nizami’s Leyli O Majnun as a work of lyrical fiction. Then, after an introductory account of formalism, structuralism and morphology, the researcher has embarked on analyzing this story based on Propp’s morphology model in order to find out what techniques Nizami has used to narrate his story. Absterac: Narrative immigration literature in Iran is consistently and rapidly expanding due to substantial social issues. It necessitates extensive and multidimensional research in the field of literature and migration. The present study with a comparative study approach searches the two important novels of contemporary migration literature for common components in these works. Both novels express (like the autobiography) the lives of two immigrant writers. The results indicate that the nostalgia of home is left behind and its belongings and multiple threads (identity, culture, communication, emotions, etc.) of the current world of author, alongside factors such as mental distress and constant fear (out of concentrated flows on migration axis), strongly cause emotional distress of the narrator-author in both novels, and this effective issue has made very close together other narrative factors of both novels, like choosing the viewing angle, characterization, temporal and spatial rupture of the narrative, plot and narrative language (symbolic) in both novels. Using the narrative technique of stream of consciousness, mental reflections, time intervals, symbolic language, continuous associations, spatial and temporal confusion by relying on an unreliable narrator whom the audience must detect the events of the story through his unbalanced speech, which are a mixture of dream and reality, and most importantly the main design of the two stories that reflect the realities of the situation of migrating human fleeing from home has greatly increased the intertextual relationships of these two novels. Andaki Sayeh(A Little Shadow) is a novel written by Ahmad Bigdeli, which tells the story of the oil struggles of the people of the south during the coup d'etat of August 28, 1943 in a memorable and flashback manner. Because Bigdeley himself had a hand in screenwriting and because of the characteristics of his narratives, this novel has been studied in a descriptive-analytical manner based on Robert McKee's theory of narrative structure. The American theorist Robert McKee believes that all narratives follow a specific and almost identical structure. One of the structures that he enumerates for the narrative is the subplot and in the analysis of this structure, he introduces features such as: open end, multiplicity of hero, passive hero, linear time and conflict. Due to the existence of several narratives in the novel Shadow of the Shadow, after analysis, the characteristics of the subplot match with the novel of Andaki Sayeh; Also, two elements of dialogue and pictorial descriptions have been described due to their role in the narrative and structure of the novel. The achievements of this article, which examines the elements of story structure based on McKee theory and determines the relationships between these elements, looking for these features in a text with Andaki Sayeh, show that a design based on causal relationships gives this text strength and coherence from beginning to end. In the discussion of continuity, due to the attention of the author in all parts of the story, the description of events and the detailed description of events are negative, and this trend continues until the end of the story.. Frequency is also frequent, which emphasizes the goals of the author in the story of the story. The narrator is the wise, the type of focalization of that variable and the personality of the story is dependent. At first, the story has the first person tone, but in episodic narratives it continues with third person narratives. Manuscript profile

Research in ancient narrations requires both interpretation and comparison with the theories of the current century. In the perspective of ancient man; Narratives, stories and legends have been one of the most entertaining norms of human beings. Apart from the validity of the first narrations, the payment of narrations in the path of culture and civilization has had a significant application. Most of those narrations; Today, like metaphors, it is referential and has led to the creation of new stories and can be critiqued based on the tools of narrative, adaptation, balance and intertextuality. In this research extracted from the dissertation; In the framework of narratology and using comparative literature, the origin of ancient narration has been studied, which is somehow related to contemporary narration.           One of the new approaches taken from linguistics is narratology; it examines the techniques and structure of narratives and thus seeks out the grammar of the narrative. Narration and its application in Persian literature has not much history. One of the greatest storytellers of Persian literature is Rumi; in Mathnawi he used storytelling and narration to achieve his goals and express high concepts. His versatility in applying the precise principles of storytelling techniques and his aristocracy to a variety of storytelling techniques has made Mathnawi a living and enduring world-renowned work. One of these is how to use the element of time in the narrative. One of the scholars who has been discussing the timing of the narrative in recent decades is Gerard French Genet. The purpose of this study is to use the theory of time in the narrative of Genet in three topics: order, continuity and frequency, to analyze the narrative-theological narrative of the parrot and merchant in Mathnawi. The method of this study is analytical-descriptive with narrative approach; also the findings of this study show that Gennett's theory of Genet provides a good model for analyzing Mathnawi stories. Another achievement of this research is the benefit of new approaches to literary criticism and analysis and new knowledge, including narration in the study of classical texts such as Mathnawi. Narration is about studying different methods of writing and analysis of literature. Because of Daneshvar’s in-depth knowledge of narration, showing aspects of her narrative style was the purpose of the present study. Time in "Wandering Island", based on extracted indications, has been assessed with analytical and descriptive methods to realize and understanding the bottom layers of the "Wandering Island" novel. Among kinds of narration, time factor in "wandering island" is the primary factor and different layers of timing are joined together that creates complexity of narration. The dominant aspect (dimension) of narration in this novel is a flashback technique, and sometimes forward orientationform of predicting the events to increase the suspension function and attract addresser of the narration in the novel. In "wandering Island" there are many kinds of time that are mixed together. First of them is referred to the main events of the novel. Leyli and Majnoon are among Ganjavi's nizami poems that have had a great impact on the storytelling of Persian literature and have been imitated many times. In this research, using analytical descriptive method, Ganjavi's nizami narrative models in Leyli and Majnoon's narration have been studied. The results show that the main confrontation in this work is the confrontation that arose from the society of the age, a confrontation that is rooted in ethnic nervousness. The actions of the actors in this story are also significant based on this confrontation. Madman is a dynamic character who changes and transforms, but Leyli has a static personality. The protagonist of the story is insane, and those around him also play a supporting role. The main deterrent to this story is Leyli's father, and the value object is love, and for this reason the story has found a mystical color and smell. Manuscript profile

Grimas’s narrative theory is one of the most important theories of narrative which have been presented based on the bilateral contrasts of the text. Although his theory is Applicable in some areas of Persian literary texts, in some parts we observe incompatibilities. In this paper, we examine the fables of the first chapter of Kelile o Demne based on Grimas’s narrative theory. In this study, we conclude that Grimas narrative theory is not applicable to all of the fables of Kelile o Demne. The components of Grimas’s theory have been synthesized in these fables. This is in contrast with Grimas’s narrative pattern, though it can be related to didacticism of Kelile o Demne in which the focus is on the content of their words not the structure. Although applying various literary theories in narrative area could lead us to a better understanding of the literary texts, due to the special features of Iranian fables, either an aboriginal paradigm or a change in the fables is required for investigation of narrative structures of these texts.    Manuscript profile

What is being examined in the structural analysis of a story is its structure, narration and language. Structural analyzers study the totality of the literary form and the division of the narratives to smaller units (to the extent that it is not dividedable). They try to provide a grammatical language for all narratives. Propp, who was one of the experts in narrative, studied the totality of the narrative structure of the one hundred Russian narratives. He then divided them into smaller components, the repeated patterns, and finally he composed a grammar of narrative. This research is descriptive-analytic method and has used library resources, relying on Parvin Etesami’s debate as a form of education; the first step is to define the grammar of narrative in educational literature. And then we try to examine narrative structure, narrative situations (audience) and the narrative content of the debates has been examined. The results indicate that the educational literature (narrative) is located in the center of the narrative and narrative elements are more prominent than others. Furthermore, in Parvin’s debates the type of audience is outside of structure and sometimes in hidden format. Manuscript profile

Narratology, as one of the old topics in literary criticism, traces back to the ideas of Plato and Aristotle. Among recent narratologists, Gerard Genette (1930-2018) has presented one of the most consistent theories in narratology. The present research tries to apply Genette’s theory in analyzing “Qale-ye Soqrim” (Soqrim Castle), a narrative poem by the Iranian poet, Nima Yooshij. By using descriptive-analytical method, first, a summary of Genette’s theory is outlined, then, the application of his theory to the analysis of the poem is presented. The purpose of the present study is to show to what extent the narrative elements have contributed to the formation of the poem as a mystical work and how far they have helped the poet to express mystical concepts. The results show that Nima Yooshij, by using appropriate narrative elements, has been able to create a work in line with the mystical works of Persian literature and to reflect mystical ideas in his poem in an effective way.     Manuscript profile

David Herman believes that cognitive linguistics is the guide narration and, according to the function of the mind, cognitive narration measures the aspects of the story, wherever and in whatever order they are narrated. Herman considers the element companion qualia as an of the fundamental elements of narrative. He defines qualia as follows: narrative representation, highlighting the impact of story events on the minds of the actual or imaginary people; proves the experience of living in during the story to the reader.the question arises: what is the difference between the qualia and identification in narratology? Does Herman's mean from element qualia in a story was as the identification with the story? And we come to conclusion that identification is the attempt by the audience to put himself in the position of character in the story and to establish a close relationship with him, and qualia an effort made by the author to create a space, to inspire to the reader to the best way with the experience of living in the story space. the establishing of qualia in narrative of unique is the narrator, and the identification of unique of the narrative; and they have relationship each other directly. The more narrator succeeds in creating the quale, the audience is better placed in the story space and identification with the characters in the story better, of course, the qualia is one of the most effective factors in the identification, but in my opinion, it is the most important factor. Abstract         Greimas is one of the prominent theorists in the field of narratology. In order to evaluate different types of narratives, he offered fixed patterns and made great efforts and established narratology on the basis of Prop morphology. Greimas exceeded the scope of Prop's studies and presented action patterns, narrative chains and semantics square to fit all the narratives. In this study, we aimed to investigate the structure of " The Saam and Bahram " by Fayyaz Lahiji based on the pattern of Greimas to identify actors and pattern of narrative system and also analyze the analytical capability of ' The Saam and Bahram " through the chain of narrative and semantic square of Greimas. The result of this research which has been conducted through descriptive-analytic and bibliotheca method indicated that the story of " The Saam and Bahram " has a full structural and narrative pattern and from the perspective of dual-action activism triple-denominational chains and square semantics can be examined.
