Mustafa Wahbi al-Tall, known as ͑Arār(1899-1949 AD) is one of the great poets of Jordan. He is known as the 'Father of Jordan contemporary poetry'. When ͑Arār received a versified translation ofthe rubāʿiyāt-e-Khayyām (Quatrains of Khayyam), he became interested in and fond of them, and composedKhayyām-type poems. So, we can say that it is too difficult to understandhis poems and mastering his poetic themes without understanding philosophy and thoughts of Khayyām. In order to determine the degree of poet's reliance on his poetic ability in creating new images, the article tries to have a technical look in his khamryyāt (wine poems). Similie, metaphor, hyperbole and so on are the most important devices which are investigated in the article. The results of the research show that there is no traces of the influence of imaginary pictures of  Khayyām on Arār and the so called influence is due to the traces of Khayyam's philosophical thoughts in Arār poems. One of the predecessors of literary researchers i.e. Aristotle has stated about way of influencing poet’s interpretation in literary and emotional implications that grandeur of poet’s interpretation lies in that to reflect imitation and representation principle adroitly; while other group believes in that they have manifested topics presentation technique more important than subject content so as Russian formalists had purposed subject of Speech Literature (Literariness). Thus, literary language is not similar to vernacular language except for physical lexicons, so that poets have resorted to literary terms in their literary interpretation, including simile, allusion, allegory and metaphor and the like thereby they might parochially display such concepts by recourse to fantasies and hinting implications in their verses. So quatrain is one of the purest frames of Persian verses and deemed as the most original and archaic types.   Manuscript profile

Paying attention to the alphabet letters for the arrangement of the date material and syntactical calculations has been considered and used since a long time. It is a fine treasure of rich and subtle words of poets who has written their emotions and inner beliefs by exquisite and beautiful expression. The form of this collection is quatrains which, of course, few of them have not quatrain weight and are not considered as quatrain form. The collector of this fine work is Mirza Mohammad Saleh Razavi who has collected quatrains of 367 contemporary poets and before himself and all quatrains have been written in alphabetic letters order according to the pseudonym of poets. A variety of themes is seen in this biography which most of them are quranic themes and this indicates that poets have taken advantage of Quran to reveal religious and moral concepts. This work has some issues such as: God and unlimited kindness to his servants, also advise man to avoid pride, worldliness, desire, greed and pass of age, attention to the death, repent, etc. In this war of collection, sometimes, quranic concepts and compounds are used exactly at the end of quatrains or between hemistiches to emphasize, understand or complete that content. This study aims to search for these used quranic themes and verses and concepts in this manuscript collection. Manuscript profile

Omar Khayyam, the leading Persian poet and scientist of the fifth century created a collection of poems known as the Rubaiyat, which passed the geographical boundaries and has been translated into several languages. The first translation was presented by an English poet named Fitzgerald who introduced Khayyam's poetry and opinions to the western world. His translation is to some extent a conceptual one, and even some of his translated poems differ from its original Persian equivalent. The Arab world did not lag behind, and some literary men began to translate the Rubaiyat into Arabic. Some of them used the original Persian version as their source, but most of them, due to lack of proficiency in Persian, inevitably took advantage of the English version. One of these Arab figures is the Egyptian poet Abdul-Rahman Shukri who has translated three quatrains from the English version into Arabic. Since he used an English translation as his source text, his translation reveals some defects both in its form and its content. For example, Khayyam’s quatrain form  has been replaced by a free and conceptual translation, and he has endeavored only to convey the whole idea. This paper is a comparative study of Shakuri, and Fitzgerald translations and original Persian text of Khayyam aiming at evaluating and analyzing the defects of translation of Rubaiyat. The high frequency of some ethical themes in the text indicates the educational foundations in the author's thinking. Didactic foundations are more ostensible in a coherent and short literary form like quatrains, because the poet tries to depict his instructive thoughts with the shortest form of thought, in order to be more effective. Saadi is one of the poets who has portrayed his didactic concerns in various forms of poetry, including his quatrains. These concerns and didactic foundations are more pronounced in Saadi's quatrains than in his other works due to the brevity of form and structure of the quatrains. Doing this research could be significant and necessary because literary researches did not paid enough attention to Saadi's didactic quatrains. Furthermore, the quatrains have a special capacity to find Saadi's didactic foundations. Accordingly, in this article, an attempt has been done to examine in a descriptive and analytical manner, the didactic foundations of Saadi's quatrains, which have not been explored so far. Numerous themes, including death, unreliability of the world, love, predestination, free will, justice, and morality (special behavioral hints), form the profound didactic structure of Saadi's quatrains. Understanding these didactic themes requires classification and genealogical view to discover the intellectual and ideological origin of the poet's thoughts. The research findings show that the didactic foundations in Saadi's quatrains are influenced by the jurisprudential and theological ideas of his time and the philosophical ideas of ancient Iran. In fact, the poet composed his quatrains according to the unsettled situation of the society of his time. He has given didactic and instructive quatrains, so that he can teach the audience a set of moral good deeds.    Manuscript profile

Likewise, there is no poetry which invites us as much to dialogue, discussion, and translation as his Quatrains.       I would belive that the study of Khayyam's notion should be based on the corpus of his authentic Quatrains.       In order to distinguish the Quatrains that were written by khayyam from the derivative ones, it is necessary to separate all of them by studying all this writings and comparing those Quatrains with the authentic ideas snd believes of khayyam which we withdrew from our study on all his works.       In this paper  constraints are introduced for identifying khayyam's authentic Quatrains. with the aid of these parameters,  Quatrains which play a key-role in khayyam's thought were selected.
