The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavior therapy on female sexual interest/arousal disorder, sexual intimacy and sexual self- concept of married women referring to counseling centers in Isfahan city. This was a quasi-experimental design with pretest, posttest, three months follow up and control group. The population included married women with sexual interest arousal problems who responded to calls from counseling centers. 45 Samples were selected with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-fifth edition criteria and female sexual function questionnaire scores. Subjects were randomly assigned in two experimental groups and control group. The experimental groups received 8 sessions 90 minutes weekly intervention. The instruments used in this study included Rosen Female Sexual Function Questionnaire, Botlani Sexual Intimacy Questionnaire and Snell Sexual Self- Concept Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance with repeated measures. The results showed that both treatment approaches had a significant effect on all three variables. (P>0.05). And there was no significant difference between the two treatment approaches. Thus, both therapeutic interventions can be used to improve sexual desire / arousal disorders and increase sexual intimacy and sexual self-concept. Manuscript profile

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of modular cognitive behavior therapy (MCBT) on tolerance of uncertainty, loneliness and risky behavior in martyr students. The statistical population of the study consisted of all female high school students who attended high school in Shahid Khorasan Razavi in Torbat Heydarieh during the academic year of 1397-98. The statistical population was selected based on available sampling method and based on the score of three questionnaires of uncertainty tolerance (Fristen et al., 1994), the questionnaire Loneliness (Russell & Ferguson, 1995) and High Risk Behavior Questionnaire (Shafie, 1391). In the pre-test, 30 people who had entry and exit criteria were selected as samples. The 30 subjects were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups of 15. The experimental group received 10 sessions of 90 minutes of modular cognitive behavior therapy and the control group was on the waiting list. Also, for analysis of data, one and multi-variance analysis of covariance analysis was used and to accelerate the results of SPSS-22 software. The results of this study showed that modular cognitive behavior therapy (MCBT) of the process unit significantly increased uncertainty tolerance and decreased loneliness in martyr students, but did not significantly affect the high risk behaviors in students.
