Abstract :
Objective: The main objective of this article is to sociologically study the effects of entrepreneurship on the formation of the development process with emphasis on the concept of rural development in Iran. In this regard, the evolution of the concept of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial strategy in rural development has been used.
Method: This article uses the documentary research method.
Findings: About sixty years have passed since the beginning of development planning in Iran, but these plannings have not yet been able to reduce the manifestations of backwardness in many sectors and in local communities, especially rural ones. The dominance of the oil economy, along with numerous other factors that have historical and structural roots, have prevented the achievement of balance in development planning and resource allocation.
Conclusion: If we accept that development means the continuous improvement of the entire society and social system towards a better or more humane life, then it is also obvious that the necessity of any type of development in society is the existence of public participation in various dimensions and, in fact, without participation, real, comprehensive, all-round and sustainable development cannot be achieved. One of the ways to increase people's participation in the decision-making process, planning and implementation of programs, as well as increasing the capacities and empowerment of villagers, which has attracted a lot of attention in recent years, is the discussion of entrepreneurship.
