Abstract :
Organizations today are increasingly trying to carry out their activities as project-based. Also, creating, presenting and maintaining value are the three key components of value management in the effectiveness of organizations, especially project-based organizations. Both approaches; hard value management (Structures, Strategies, Systems) and soft value management (employees, skills, styles) in the management paradigm can be a source of value creation and it depends on the type of management perspective that which source is to be used, here, the interaction between employees and managers is as the source of value creation. The purpose of this study is to provide a model for creating value from the manager social interactions with employees. The snowball sampling method was carried out by selecting 23 managers with more than 10 years of experience in project-oriented organizations. The results show that the manager can use 20 main categories of strategy to create value in the minds of employees when interacting. However, the categories related to contextual and intervening factors that are effective in using strategies have been taken to consideration. Also, the manager can create value in the minds of employees by integrating or combining both hard and soft approaches in project management.
