Abstract :

The formation of the Safavid government in the early 10th century AH is one of the most important events in the history of Shiism in Iran. The emergence of this government was seen as the beginning of a new era in the political and religious life of Iran, and it led to the independence of Iran based on the official religion of Shiism. Shia beliefs, leadership and institutions have played an important role in Iran's foreign policy, and Shia Islam has been mixed with politics from the beginning. As it can be said, the history and beliefs of Shia were the foundation of the ideology of the Islamic Revolution and one of its most important roots. The Iranian Revolution created a center of attention for reviving and popularizing the religious identity of Shiites and even in a more general view, the religious identity of Muslims and caused the emergence of Shiite governments and movements in the Middle East region, which subsequently changed the balance of power in this region. . The purpose of the current research is to answer this basic question: What is the role of Shi'ite ideology in changing the balance of power in the Middle East region? This research tries to answer the question of what effect the Shia religion has had on the Shia societies with the documentary method. The results of the present research show that the values ​​and principles of the Shia jurisprudence led the Shia people of Iran to react to the existing situation with the help of the powerful Shia leadership and created the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and on the other hand, the Islamic Revolution of Iran expanded the sphere of influence of Shia in Middle East region has become.
