Abstract :

Policy making is a word that is tied to state, society and its public issues and it evokes the action of the government in the proper administration of public affairs. Governments use various tools to achieve desired results. Since governments are involved with internal and external issues, taking right or wrong decisions leads the countries to interact or confront each other. Public policy in Iran also has components that have caused the continuation of sanctions against Iran. But according to many views regarding sanctions and policy-making factors in Iran, this article answers the main question, what are the harms of Iran's public policy in the face of unilateral US sanctions? Surveys show that the institutionalist policy approach based on reactive policy making, the lack of effective consideration of the adoption of political strategies and evaluations are among the most important challenges of Iran's public policy in the face of unilateral US sanctions.
