Management of regeneration of the central fabric of Tabriz within the framework of smart growth principles

Abstract :

 

This research was compiled with the aim of evaluating and explaining the regeneration of the central part of Tabriz city with the approach of smart growth and in line with the sustainable development of the vulnerable neighborhoods of Region 8. This study is of applied type and has been carried out by descriptive-analytical method based on library studies. The statistical population of the research includes experts and residents of central context. In the first stage, the Delphi method was used by asking experts, and in the second stage, the data were analyzed using structural equations and SPSS and AMOS software. The findings show that in the current situation, the design, pedestrian-oriented and intergenerational justice scales have been implemented, while the three indicators of management and productivity, sustainable and value-creating jobs are in the potential stage. In addition, the most direct and indirect environmental indicators and cultural indicators have also played an important role in regeneration with the smart growth approach. Therefore, in the regeneration of the central part of Tabriz, the investigated indicators should be used simultaneously and integrated in the reconstruction projects of the central tissue in order to achieve smart sustainability. Institutional indicators with 2.41 and economic indicators with 2.20 show a similar situation. The positive and significant relationship between smart growth and regeneration indicators was confirmed with 99% confidence.
