        Positive thinking is a trend to adopt the most hopeful standpoint and cognitive and emotional preparation in persons for prediction and evaluation of life events. The aim of this study was to evaluate the predict the hope of cure and neuroticism in addicted people based on positive thinking. A total of 256 drug dependent patients participated in this study. The participants completed a questionnaire of positive thinking, an adult hope questionnaire, and a questionnaire for Kundu's neuroticism. The results of this study showed that positive thinking with hope has a significant positive and negative relationship with neuroticism. Hope and neuroticism are predictable through positive thinking. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that in the treatment of substance dependent individuals, positive affirmation reinforcement is of great importance in increasing the hope of treatment and the elimination of neuroticism and can improve the therapeutic outcomes.
