Abstract :
Background and Aim: The interleukin 4/ Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 signaling axis is one of the most important pathways involved in the growth and development of cancer. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of resistance training with nanocurcumin Consumption on IL-4 and STAT-6 in muscle cells of healthy male rats.
Materials & Methods: In this experimental study, 32 Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups (Control, resistance training, nanocurcumin, resistance training + nanocurcumin). The training program was run for 4 weeks and 3 sessions per week. Daily supplement groups received 80 mg of nanocurcumin intake per kilogram of body weight for 4 weeks orally (gavage). IL-4 and STAT-6 gene expression was measured by Real-time PCR method.
Results: The results showed that resistance training with nanocurcumin caused a significant increase in IL-4 compared to other groups and a decrease in STAT-6 compared to the muscle cell training group of healthy male rats. (P<0.05).
Conclusion: It seems that four weeks of resistance training together with nanocurcumin supplementation can be more effective alone in its reduction process by affecting the IL-4/STAT-6 signaling axis.
