University functions from the Islamic Azad University (Ardabil Branch) students’ perspective Ardabili)

Abstract :

This study aim is to evaluate the university functions from viewpoint of Islamic Azad University, Ardabil Branch. Research method is field study. Population of research in this research are all of students who study in Islamic Azad University (Ardabil branch). 514 person of students from university were selected as a sample by random stratified sampling. Required data for responding the research questions were collected by researcher made questionnaire and data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistic by SPSS software. The results showed that: the university current functions from students' viewpoint of university is lower than mean. Also, university students considered important the presented functions for ideal university. From university student’s viewpoint, there is a significant gap between the current position and the ideal position. From university student’s viewpoint, science production has the first priority and cultural development and transfer of cultural heritage has the last priority in ideal university function.
