Abstract :

Identity is a subject that changes over time and there are different types of identities. There is a challenge between cultural globalization and local identities. There are three main policies for globalization: selection, adaptation and exclusion. Each society decides which policy or specific combination of these policies to apply in it. One of the important dimensions of the impact of the globalization phenomenon is the cultural dimension. Considering that Iran has a very old culture and also the existence of religious beliefs in Iran, it has been able to. The central question and goal of this research is the effects of globalization on the identity of Iranian urban Iranians from the perspective of Iranian thinkers. By adopting an analytical method, it can be said that the characteristics of the identity of Iranian urban Iranians in the era of globalization, according to the attitude of recent thinkers, can be considered in different dimensions such as gelatinous identity, resistance identity, authoritarian identity and multi-level identity. In this regard, components such as cultural traditionalism, confusionist identity, modern traditional man, conflictual identity, confrontation with globalization and religious nationalism can be mentioned.
