Abstract:
Between 2016 and 2022, the political confrontation between the United States and China significantly impacted the security crisis on the Korean Peninsula. The main question of this research is how the political confrontation between the United States and China has affected the expansion of the security crisis on the Korean Peninsula. The hypothesis suggests that the political confrontation between the United States and China, with increasing political and military pressures, has intensified the security crisis on the Korean Peninsula, leading to an increase in North Korea's nuclear and missile activities and the strengthening of military alliances in the region. The findings indicate that the confrontations on the Korean Peninsula have resulted in the formation of security competitions, the creation of security dilemmas, the rise of threats and security concerns, and influence on alliances and the strengthening of security cooperation. This article, with an applied objective and a descriptive-analytical approach, analyzes and interprets the topic using a case study method and reliable political and security sources from documentary and library-based research. Additionally, a search in databases has been conducted to gather the necessary information.
