Abstract :

Abstract

Extraversion and introversion are among the personality traits in the theory of human personality. This view was popularized by Carl Gustav Jung in 1920. Both traits of extroversion and introversion exist in the personality of all humans. Therefore, all humans have both tendencies of extroversion and introversion; but one of them dominates the other and individuals are introduced with that dominant aspect. The background and purpose of the research is to analyze the personality of Sohrab based on eight books. Sohrab is one of the most famous poets of contemporary Persian literature. In addition to the fact that his speech is at the peak of eloquence, rhetoric and beauty, the content of his poems and writings has always been considered and has been criticized and examined in various ways. The present research, which is conducted using a descriptive-analytical method based on the statistical collection of Sohrab's poems. Many of Sohrab's ideas can be adapted to today's psychological concepts.To better understand his personality, by examining and analyzing his works, writings, and poems based on eight books, and matching their concepts with the definitions and characteristics of introverts and extroverts, we seek to view Sohrab's personality from this perspective. The research findings indicate that happiness, gaining new experiences, knowledge and awareness, connection with others and nature, the power to motivate others, interactionism, emotion and intimacy, hope, positive thinking, and seizing opportunities are the fundamental themes of Sohrab's poetry, which, based on their psychological analysis, has an extroverted personality. Sohrab's personality trait, based on Jung's eight personality types and Eysenck's trait theory, is closer to the two personality types: sensory extrovert and intuitive extrovert
