Presenting the Model of Social Networks and Information Literacy on Academic Achievement Sample Study: Students of Saveh Islamic Azad University

Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to present the model of social networks and information literacy on the academic achievement of students of Saveh Islamic Azad University.This research is descriptive-survey and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population was 1800 students of the Faculty of Humanities of Saveh Azad University with a sample size of 317 based on Morgan's formula which was a simple random sampling method. The research tools were three social network questionnaires by Jahanbani et al. (2009), Siamak and Davarpanah's information literacy questionnaire (2005), Pham and Taylor's educational questionnaire (1994).Their validity was confirmed by experts, and their reliability was obtained using Cronbach's alpha test as 0.85, 0.78 and 0.81% respectively. In order to review and analyze the data, descriptive statistical methods and structural equation modeling were used using SPSS and Smart PLS software, and the model was evaluated and fitted. The findings indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between the use of social networks and academic achievement, and there is also an effective and meaningful relationship between information literacy and academic achievement.
