Affecting Factors in Attracting Tehran Citizens’ Participation of Blood Donation in the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (Base on the IBTO Public Relations’ Performance)

Abstract :
The main aim of this research is to study the affecting factors in attracting Tehran citizens’ participation of Blood donation in the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (base on the IBTO Public Relations’ performance). The research method of this study is applied in survey type. The population of this research includes all 1000000 citizens’ blood donation in Tehran. Samples are selected by the use of Cochran formula, includes 383.8 donators. In fact, about 400 questionnaires were distributed in the Tehran five district including north, south, east, west and the city center. The research questionnaire’s validity approved by supervisor, advisor and concerned experts. The reliability also approved by the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, equal to 0.831. The findings of this study indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between the blood donator’s awareness and the citizens' participation in this regard. There is a positive and significant relationship between the blood donator’s attitude and the citizens' participation in this regard. There is a positive and significant relationship between the blood donator’s social trust and the citizens' participation in this regard. There is a positive and significant relationship between the IBTO Public Relations’ performance and the citizens' participation in this regard which has a direct and significant effect on attracting and promoting the citizens’ participation and the sustainability of the target group in the long term for blood donation
