Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to present a model for institutionalizing gender equality in Iranian sports. This research was a methodological method in terms of qualitative methodology and data theory. The statistical population of this study consists of experts in the field of women's sports management. For sampling, purposive sampling method was used and sampling was continued until reaching theoretical saturation and based on this, 16 interviews were conducted. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect information and three overlapping processes of open coding, axial coding and theoretical coding were used to analyze the data. By matching the text of all interviews in the open coding stage, 213 concepts or initial codes were identified, which were reduced to 83 codes after code aggregation. Then, in the axial coding stage, according to the semantic similarity of the identified concepts, 21 subsets were formed and classified into causal, contextual, interventionist, strategies and consequences. Based on the research results, it was found that the institutionalization of gender equality is not a one-dimensional issue and equality as a product is a function of various institutions that should be considered by the relevant stakeholders.
