The relationship between family communication patterns and cyberbullying with the mediating role of anger rumination in adolescents of Khorambid city

Abstract :
Abstract Introduction: The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between family communication patterns and cyberbullying with the mediating role of anger rumination in youths from the city of Khorrambid. Methods: The method of this research is a descriptive correlation type. The statistical population of the current research was all female students of the second secondary level of Khorrambid city, totaling 767 people. The sampling method in the current research is simple random, according to Morgan's table, 250 people were selected. The tools of data collection in this research were Patchin and Hinduja's cyberbullying questionnaire, Sokodolski et al.'s anger rumination questionnaire, and Family Communication Patterns Questionnaire (RFCP). The collected data were analyzed at two levels (descriptive statistics and inferential statistics). In order to collect the raw data of this research, the research questionnaires were prepared after obtaining permission from the Ministry of Education and Science and the researcher implicitly explained the objectives of the research to the sample and then explained how to answer the questions. And research tools were provided to students. For data analysis, descriptive statistical indices (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistical indices such as path analysis with Amos software were used to examine research variables and hypotheses. Findings: The results showed that the direct and negative effect of eavesdropping on cyberbullying and anger rumination is significant at the 0.01 level. The direct and positive effect of conformity dimension on cyberbullying and anger rumination is significant at 0.01 level. The direct and positive effect of anger rumination on cyberbullying is significant at the 0.01 level. The communication dimension through cyberbullying has an indirect and significant effect on anger rumination, and the conformity dimension through cyberbullying has an indirect and significant effect on anger rumination. |
