Women's participation in various areas is the most important factors in the economic development of each country, so that women in developed countries have an important role in economic development. In a society where women's participation in employment and economic activity is greater, social welfare will increase, due to the fact that the more participation of women in the labor market, the more production, income per capita and social welfare of the whole society. Therefore, development planners should focus their attention on the recognition of the status and the role of women in development and its various dimensions. The main objective of this paper is to examine the impact of fertility on women's participation rate in middle-income countries. The results of the estimation model using fixed effect and GMM in selected countries in the period 2015-1990 shows that fertility rate has a significant and negative effect on on women's participation rate in middle-income countries
